Place is dirty and weird. The couple running it do not clean it daily and the bathrooms were never cleaned! Stay away and go somewhere other than La Fere which is a strange place where you have to wait until after 9 am for breakfast and the pharmacy was never open! Go on to Amiens or St Quentin and find...

This would be a wonderful place to stay if you have a strong immune system and a great sense of humour. It's less good if you have high standards and basic expectations of cleanliness and functionality. I am mostly of a positive mental disposition. I try hard to see the sunny side of life and am often described as senselessly...

I booked this property in November 2010 for a group of 30 friends to celebrate a milestone birthday party for one week from 18-25th August 2012. At the time, I paid a €1,950 deposit via Simply Chateau, the property's UK based agent. I also paid the balance of the booking (c£3,500) in May 2012, again via the same agent. On...

My family and i stayed here in July 2011 for my husbands 60th birthday. We booked 6nights. The house was very dirty, very poorly maintained. Some of the bedrooms smelt. All the beds were squeaky and uncomfortable. The bathrooms were in poor shape. The kitchen was very dirty. Hot tub very cloudy. Ok good things. The grounds were lovely, the...

Unusual combination of carved Thai furniture set in a once grand French town house on main street. Charming owner let down by the general ageing facilities. Not everybody's bed squeaked but ours most certainly did. Third rate conversion of an alcove to a dark and dirty shower cubicle with some hot water. Some rooms had ensuite toilets. Lovely reception rooms...
