We were greeted by the owner Laura and she is very hospitable. She insisted on checking our room prior to us entering to make sure all would be satisfactory - she made sure to refill the coffee and unlike the two previous places we stayed, we had two pods each vs one each. She wasn’t happy with the condition of the floors so she vacuumed and washed them again to ensure they were clean. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and our one night stay was very pleasant. Merci Laura!

I stayed for one night and was lucky enough to get the last room. It was very clean and it seems that it was refurbished recently. The woman (owner) at the reception didn't speak English but she was very kind. She asked her son (?) to help and translate. He was a very kind and cool guy, too. He explained everything very detailed. The bed was comfy and breakfast was included. As I had the room which was close to the Route 132 it was sometimes a bit loud when trucks very passing by. But all in all a good choice for a short stay.

Crazy location in Cap-Chat, juste in front of the sea. This motel was just perfect. We had great service at the entrance, the room was huge and very clean. Definitly a must stop if you are going in Gaspesie. Go try it now!

There is no way, this place is a 2 star motel. Was hesitant at first but was tired of driving and did not want to drive any longer, It was rated a 2 star! ********,no way. I have stayed at 4-5 star motel/hotel and this was right up there. Place was immaculate, owners could not have been nicer and the place is right across from the beach. 16 paces to be exact. Booked on Trivago for under 100 bucks,Canadian. Place was tactfully done well.Everything was clean, spotless and bright. Breakfast was NOT included but we had it the next day for $5.95.CAD!!!! 2 eggs, homefries, o.j.,coffee and toast! Did I mentioned, you are looking at the water!. We did a 2168 mile trip from Boston and this place, including the service. was one of the my top 3. You won't find a nicer host and a more comfortable stay for the $$$$. You truly won't. Right on 132 Quest. You can't miss the sign.Blue and white and center of the beach. Enjoy.....we did.

We booked this hotel during our driving tour of the beautiful Gaspe Peninsula. We chose it due to its close proximity to Gaspe National park. Upon check-in we were greeted by the friendly, fluently bilingual owner Suzanne. She was truly a delight and was eager to offer us helpful advice on restaurants and not to be missed sights in the area.

Our room had two comfortable, double beds and was bright, very clean and tastefully decorated. The floor to ceiling window allowed plenty of light in. There was a table and chairs in front of this window to enjoy a meal or a glass of wine while embracing the magnificent view of the setting sun and St Lawrence. The motel is on Route 132 and little road noise can be heard between 7AM-10PM than due to less traffic the noise stopped this allow for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Amenities included everything we needed for a comfortable night’s stay: desk, chair, frig, small TV with remote control, hair dryer, closet, body wash and shampoo in dispensers in the private bathroom. Wi-Fi is complimentary but we had to sit outside our room in provided chairs to access it and there is a guest computer in the lobby. Parking is in front of the rooms and also is free.

We enjoyed a homemade breakfast prepared by Suzanne in the onsite restaurant (cost was under $5.50/person). The coffee was delicious as was our meals. This motel and restaurant is open all year and the restaurant serves dinner in the winter to accommodate snow mobilizers and its winter guests.

I loved our stay at this hotel and recommend it to others.

I don't often write negative reviews, and I hate to do so since the owner was outwardly very nice. However, there were some things that just didn't add up. First of all, we found this hotel through Trip Advisor. We then checked other websites to get a rate since TA did not show one. 3 different sites indicated that a room for the night would be $91. When we called to make reservations, we were told that she didn't know where she got those rates but that the room would be $122. Since we were not familiar with the area, and were told a full breakfast was only $5, we booked the room.

The room itself was a disappointment for the kind of money being charged. The décor was from the 70s, the road noise loud, and when the wind blew, something in the room vibrated loudly. The lighting could best be described as dim and reading was difficult unless you had a lighted device.

There is a "restaurant" on site which is in fact a single room with a grill in the back. When the breakfast came out it was disappointing, even though it was priced at $5 dollars. Runny eggs, literally 5 dried out "home fries", watery coffee and a slice of toast cut in half. Taste was poor.

We exited as soon as we could and found some very nice cottages right on the water, not across the street for less money. All in all, you'd be best off avoiding this hotel.

We are terribly sorry you did not enjoy your stay in our establishment. As far as prices on the web sites, I only provide prices to Booking.com since I have a contract with them. Therefore I don't know what websites you looked the prices on, but we only deal with Booking.com You must always remember that the prices that appear on internet are always without taxes. As far as the restaurant is concerned we have done our best to make it cozy and friendly but it is definitly not a "single room". Should you have notified us of your disatisfaction for your breakfast, we would have gladly rectified it or simply reimburse you. Sometimes talking directly to the owners help us provide you with what you are looking. We hope you still have enjoyed the rest of your stay in Gaspésie. Regards, Suzanne Collin Owner

We stopped in at Motel Nanook with no reservations. Suzanne was a very pleasant host who got us all set up with rooms, fixed us some dinner and an excellent breakfast. When we were there, we were the only 3 people in the motel.

It really was an ideal spot to stop for snowmobilers. Like others have said, this is not a deluxe motel, but if you're looking for a comfortable stay, some good food and a pleasant host, at a very reasonable price - this is the spot. We had the dining area to ourselves and lounged about watching the tv after dinner while we finished off a few drinks. The motel is not licensed, but we were able to provide our own.

This motel feels more like a bed and breakfast, except you stay in motel rooms.

I'd recommend it to others as long as you're not looking for high end amenities.

WOW! The Motel Restaurant Nanook is a excellent place to stay!
Starting with the owner, Susanne Collin, She is very easy to deal with and very professional! The room that we rented were freshly renovated and immaculate clean! The bed were very comfortable. The view of the St-Laurence river were fantastic. Also the breakfast, made by the owner, were the best that I had in the long time. I will booked again in the future! Wow! Thank you very much | Susanne for your Hospitality! God!

The rooms were clean and cozy. The staff
was super friendly and helpful. The location was great with a view of the sunset over the St-Laurent. There was also a cheap breakfast available on-site.

All in all, perfect place to spend the night while touring Gaspesie.
