I stopped for a night in Tails & Trails in Longview in late June. I was leaving Kananaskis after a week on the road on my bicycle, and I broke my journey at Longview before continuing south the next day to Crowsnest. The municipal campground, conveniently located, renovated and under new management, was all a cyclist could hope for: spacious, **nice soft grass**, a windbreak, clean facilities, and inexpensive ($15). Jamie, the manager, was welcoming, cheerful, kind and efficient. My neighbours, from Colorado, were cyclists travelling this time in a camper van, gave me burritos and beer for supper. How could rate this campground as other than 5 stars? How could any cyclist afford to pass it by?--especially because Longview's hotel serves an A-grade breakfast!

Tales & Trails Campground is so handy and a Very Reasonable for RV's, Tenting etc. Only $30.00 per night for our motor home, $15.00 per night for tenting. Pets welcome as long as on leash. Very clean bathrooms with FREE showers!! Firewood was available on site, $20.00 for a Huge wheel barrow full of dry mixed wood. Location is perfect to walk (just minutes away) to Longview's main street. Stroll down to Twin Cities Hotel & Saloon, cafes, liquor store and unique shops to see. Longview is known for the Best Beef |Jerky!!..The Caretaker for the campground " Jamie " was AWESOME...So Very Friendly and looked after the campground with Finesse...whatever you need, she was there for you!!
