We love staying at the Dockside Retreat. The suite is so comfortable (amazingly clean!), Daphne is a wonderful host, the waterfront location is the best. We visit often and enjoy it more each time. There is always an incredible selection of delicious things for breakfast, which we love having in the sunroom overlooking the Burrard Inlet. This is a topnotch bed and breakfast! It's a real bonus having the Old Orchard Park two minutes away.

So glad to be back here again. I doesn't get any better than this. Always greeted so warmly. Looking forward to a soak in the hot tub and some great walks in the area when I'm not working. Best place in Port Moody!

My wife and I spent our wedding night at this lovely and charming B&B and could not have asked for more. There were so many little surprises and the attention to detail was first class. The breakfast spread was delicious and generous and we enjoyed having our breakfast out on the deck overlooking the water. Daphne was a very gracious host and even booked the entire bottom floor for us as she wanted us to have as much privacy as possible for our first night as husband and wife :) The overall atmosphere of this B&B was very pleasant and relaxing and we will definitely come here again and recommend it to as many people as we can. Thanks Daphne!

This was our first stay at Dockside Retreat. What a wonderful surprise. We stayed for several days in mid-August. Booking was a dream: you can even check availability on the website, which is kept up to date. That said, I recommend emailing Daphne as well, as she is super-prompt and cancellations happen. When our arrival was substantially delayed (several times), Daphne took it all in stride, no trouble at all. She was so accommodating - I can't say enough about this. We stayed in the Sunrise suite: gorgeous, spacious (bedroom with glass doors that can shut, living room with comfy large couch, fully stocked kitchen, and even a separate sunroom), and really intended for adults. When my husband and I had a child with us, no problem, Daphne didn't bat an eyelash and instead produced a cot for the sunroom. She even bought kid cereal, in addition to the incredible spread that was already there, when she realized a child was staying! My son was thrilled. The room was cool even during the hot summer temperatures (mid to high 20s). Daphne has fans set out just in case. Little luxuries are everywhere: the muffins in the heavy glass cake-stand, specialty soaps and shampoos (I almost never use hotel shampoos, but this was good stuff, for color-treated hair), heavy terry cloth robes, sparkling water, etc. I even took pictures of all the books that were set out about the suite, as I was inspired to read them (which I’d had more time)! Daphne checked on us to see if we needed anything, without ever being intrusive at all. We ate breakfast in our robes on the large deck overlooking the water while my son swam in the lengths pool (has a current so you can swim against it). Drank wine on the loungers in the late afternoon. We were there on weekdays, so we had the deck to ourselves. My son sat on the wharf and studied crabs along the shoreline. A few houses down in a beach (with a roped off area for swimming) and a trail for walking, jogging, etc. Daphne offered us access to a 'cinema room' which is sound-proof, to watch a film, but we never got around to it. I honestly can't think of any constructive criticism. The hospitality and attention to detail was incredible from start to finish. We will return, and recommend to our most discerning friends.

We really enjoyed our stay this past week. The owner Daphine was friendly and inviting. The room was clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The view from the deck was beautiful and a great way to start and end the day! A must stay for anyone in the area. We can't wait to go back. Next time we will be booking for longer!!

We visited Dockside Retreat for a 3 day visit to Port Moody where our daughter lives. From our first contact by email to the warm send off when we left, Daphne was a wonderful host. The accommodations were exceptionally comfortable and beautiful and the setting was serene. The breakfast arrangement suited us to a 'T' and a wonderful array of food arrived each morning, fresh and delicious. It was a treat to relax and enjoy our meal while enjoying either the lovely sunroom or the spacious deck with comfortable furniture to soak up the beautiful view of the water. All our preferences were accommodated not just in the food, but in the entire experience. Daphne succeeds in providing whatever it takes to make a most satisfying stay. We didn't want to leave and we will definitely be back. Thanks so much!

I must begin by saying this is our second trip to Dockside. Our first stay was truly incedible but our second.....the only word that meets the bar...magical. First stay was 3 days...this time around was an entire week. From the first step through the threshold to waving goodbye to our hostess Daphne...yes...it was magical. The views, the space, the thoughtful touches( Which Daphne excels at)the pool and hotub....at dusk especially...it all was just.....you got it...magical. If you want to unplug,relax,unwind,forget,re-load....this is the place. Thank you Daphne and Michael. You are the reason this Retreat is so special.

We arrived on a late flight to Vancouver airport which was yet further delayed and did not get to the Dockside Retreat until past midnight. Even so, we were warmly welcomed by Daphne which was most appreciated after the long trip and what a delight the Sunrise suite was - spacious, tastefully and comfortably decorated with a fire-place and a cozy sitting area. Fresh muffins and other edible treats in a well stocked kitchenette was perfect for those jet lagged moments. We felt like treasured guests at a beautiful home. We awoke from a restful sleep, attributed to the comfy bed, to a tranquil and beautiful view over the inlet. Just sorry we didn't stay longer and will miss Lola, the resident adorable canine. Really the best B&B I have stayed at and beyond expectations.

We have been going to a B&B in Port Moody for years but this time it was booked so we took a chance with The Dockside. Dockside had a lot to live up to because of how fond we were of our usual B&B.....will it did and then some. The owner and host was so welcoming and authentic! The suite we stayed in felt like a luxury hotel suite but with more warmth and coziness. Every detail was looked after. The suite had a wonderful sun room that we had our coffee in the morning and read our books. Hot tub and heated swimming pool. Sweeping views of the Burrard inlet. Crazy comfortable bed and linens. A veritable cornucopia of breakfast items of high quality. We booked three days but wanted to stay more but alas she was booked. We left feeling a little guilty because we don't think we will be returning.....to our usual B&B. We would defineately recommend The Dockside Retreat and will be going back ourselves soon.

We visited Vancouver from Australia in Sept 2014. From the time we began our booking process with Daphne until we left the whole experience was faultless and stress free. Port Moody is a really pleasant part of Vancouver and within easy reach of the endless Vancouver sights. The accomodation and hospitality were amazing - the rooms were spacious and beautifully outfitted and Daphne could not have been a more attentive hostess. She made us feel very welcome and the provisions she supplied were incredible - muffins, cakes, Canadian wine, cheese and biscuits and a really huge range of breakfast cereals! We cannot recommend this accomodation highly enough!
