We stayed here for a week and enjoyed each day of it: we had room no. 4 on the 2nd floor which comes with a great view to the mountains 8n the West, so you enjoy sunset each day.
The room itself is big enough and comfortable.

Weather permitting we enjoyed our breakfast outside at the large patio. It came with all you need, from fresh fruits, pastry, eggs etc.

The guesthouse also is a pizzeria, and a quite good one. So we also spent a couple of evenings here again enjoying to sit outside.

The location is good, it takes you 10min to Lake Bohinj and about 25min to Lake Bled.

The team, especially the Lady who runs the place is very friendly and helpful.

The only thing we missed was the Bohinj region guest card (which would come with free parking in the valley), sadly the guesthouse isn't participating this year.

This is a nice family run guest house with its very own pizzeria. I guess the latter is a necessity and save the guests from wondering where the next meal is coming from. I was there for 4 wonderful nights.

I do admit that the location may be a hindrance if you do not have your own personal transport. But what are the legs for anyway? If walking is too much of a hassle, you could time your outing with the buses; which runs on an hourly cycle.

If you have any concerns or need assistance, the lady boss, Simona, is the go to person. A very hands on person, she is the face and soul of the guest house. For example, I wanted some hot water in the room, Simona loaned me a warm flask. I said I need to toast my bread, the toaster appeared the next day. I asked how to catch the 9 am train to Nova Gorica, she gave me a ride to the train station (about 5 mins by car).

So, enjoyed the hospitality of Simona and her family while you are at the Guest House.

Tip for walk or cycling
Walks. (a) While you enjoying the mountain view and quietness of the place, do enquire from Simona on the walk (turn right from the main road to the bus stop and village) to Bohinjska Bistrica. A lovely walk of approximately an hour in the quiet countryside with small inclines.
(b) If you should walk to the lake (less than half an hour from the guest house), the walk is more boring, as your path will be sharing the road with the cars.
Cycling. Rent a bike from Bohinjska Bistrica for say 4 hours. I think there are at least 2 bike rental shops. The cycling path is mostly in tarmac with a small portion in gravel. The inclines along some parts can be steep and this is where the gears come in.

The hosts are so wonderful friendly and helpful, the room is nice and clean, and it has a balcony to beautiful view of the mountains and Meadows. The price includes breakfast, which was surprisingly huge and generous. We just came for dinner (which was also very big and tasty compare to other places in Bohinj) and stayed for the night. It was great!

I highly recommend. Great place to spend a few days, beautiful landscape. A variety of food choice for breakfast: ham, cheese, honey, marmalade, pate, fruit, various types of bread. Well worth the money.

It has been quite a while since we felt so welcome in a hotel. Prkosnik is situated approx. 1 mile from lake Bohinj asnd offers spacious, clean rooms. Bathroom just large enough (no hairdryer). The room’s balcony offers a stunning view of the surrounding mountainside. Breakfast is served at the table (no buffet), not elaborate, but quite good.
The balance between price and quality offered is good and, combined with the exceptionally friendly staff, makes me qualify this hotel as ‘excellent’.

Restaurant Prkosnik in Bohinj offers mainly Italian dishes. Good food and excellent service.
