I am travelling with my 11 year old daughter and we were looking for a relaxing night somewhere in the countryside/alps region following seeing Taylor Swift in Lyon. We chose Chambery specifically after learning about this hotel.
I will preface this by saying, this is not really a kids hotel. This is somewhere I would recommend for romantic few days.
The hotel is a hidden gem, tucked away in a side street, every inch is well thought out, beautiful and private. The restaurants are gorgeous and the breakfast included with our room was extensive.. charcuterie and cheese, French pastries, boiled eggs, oat lattes, fresh juices. I’ll include a photo.
Our room was lovely.. a double rain shower with stone floor, a privacy wall made of tree branches. I saw another room while it was being cleaned which was all black.. so so romantic.
There is a private stone room, with low lighting and a pool and eucalyptus steam room that each guest is able to use privately for 50 minutes - so relaxing and special.
I had booked us tandem massages and can not express how beautiful the experience was. Truly relaxing, quiet, and the only way I can describe it was that it felt like being massaged by someone who genuinely loves you. Absolutely beautiful experience.
The owners are also readily available and so helpful.
The only thing I would be cautious about - we are on a ten day trip and wanted to have laundry done (washer and dryer, simple things), and I sent it down without looking at the price list. This is absolutely my fault but 200 euros for an unpressed load (child and adult mix) that I would have tossed into the washer and dryer in one load at home is a lotttt. Again though, this is my fault. They are busy and I’m sure doing guest laundry is not convenient.
I would 100% return to this hotel with my husband. Do not hesitate to book this. Lovely hotel, lovely town, lovely people.

Having the opportunity to come back to this little gem was a total joy. The refinement of the scents, the door passed, is a first step in the refinement desired by the owners of the premises. This unlikely tangle of spiral staircases, alternate rooms on the medieval courtyard, relaxation areas in the old stone cellar, details that put you in a bubble away from the world have once again fulfilled their role. The quality of the services echoes the design and refined decoration of the rooms. This time, after a white one, I chose a black one:) The bathroom with its sliding bay window, this shower with small black and white tiles, the relaxation area and, above all, total soundproofing while lounge music enlivens the common areas were a haven of peace. It is impossible to finish without mentioning the tea room or the breakfast area where the staff, like the managers, are attentive and attentive without heaviness to propose a beautiful culinary moment. The Little Confidential Hotel? A secret setting in the heart of this beautiful city of Chambery that fully deserves such confidence.

This is the 3rd time I have returned to this superb hotel. There is nowhere else with the atmosphere that reigns in this place. This luxury hotel overlooks the pedestrian streets of Chambéry in an old building. All the rooms are furnished with intelligence and great refinement: the patio, the reception, the bedrooms, the restaurant, the breakfast room, etc. The privatized swimming pool and the hammam built under a pretty vault are privatized which is really a plus. The hotel also offers great massages in a charming room on the top floor with exposed beams. The gourmet restaurant is also very well appointed with its open kitchen which offers a beautiful spectacle. We ate well there and the service was very good. The breakfast is very good and very varied and is served in a magnificent little room with a cozy atmosphere in very pleasant armchairs. The rooms have really very comfortable bedding and are sumptuous (which in any case applies to the large suite, the duplex suite and the deluxe room that I had the chance to test) Finally, the owners are a very welcoming couple and also happen to be very gracious. While talking with them, we were amazed to learn that they created this hotel from scratch. Congratulations on this achievement, it’s truly a great success. We recommend this magical establishment without any reservation!

We spent Valentine's Day in a beautiful establishment, with magnificent interior architecture, a real little gem, warm, our suite really spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated with a fireplace allowing us to feel at home. The restaurant and its 6-course menu that we chose is truly astonishing, delicious, a perfect balance, and the marriage of tastes, textures and presentation on the plate is brilliant. The staff really takes great care to ensure that the time you have for yourself is relaxing and tailor-made. Private access to the swimming pool (which is really charming) and the hammam allows you to fully enjoy and relax. A hearty, colorful breakfast , salty, sweet, fruity and very delicious is served to you at the table to start your romantic day full of energy. And to finish in style a duo massage in a very relaxing moment that feels great. In short, a real discovery and we will come back for sure

Sometimes its the little things that make all the difference, and its so true with Le Petit. Every room detail was perfect, the feel of the rug on your bare feet, the comfort of towels and bed sheets, the waterfall option on the shower head, every little thing to many to mention was perfect and then combine it with the fact that hotel is owner operated and they are so thoughtful and considerate in each interaction makes this hotel a must for anyone staying in old town Chambery. The location of which is across from the castle which is magical in its own right. 100% would recommend to all our friends and family. Loved every moment of it.

Everything was perfect for a weekend, all the staff took great care, I left with my 2 boys and I was pleasantly surprised by all these little touches, the bathrobes in the sizes of my children (3 years old and 11 years old), little extras at the time of departure etc! I have recommended the establishment to my entire family and plan to come back with great pleasure! Thanks to Charlotte who is adorable!

Back again and again to the Small Confidential Pension.. Inn in the heart of the lovely town of Chambery and its small streets. Choosing PHC means choosing elegance, benevolence and refinement. The rooms are beautiful , decorated with care. The bedding is just perfect. The pool is beautiful. The breakfast is amazing. Crazy the restaurant is a delight. What perfection and what a mixture of flavor. Mademoiselle folies , the little sister is welcoming and offers delicious cocktails and other delicacies. Everyone is perfectly managed by the owners of the establishment. They are just amazing, kind and caring. Special mentions to Lou and (here) Marcel .. See you very soon

A late arrival that did not cause any concern to the managers of the establishment, who were waiting for us with kindness and smile, an incredible room and a wonderful bed. Even with an alarm clock it was only the breakfast in the room that made us get up so much sleep was pleasant, breakfast was even more exceptional! To complete everything, an hour in the quiet pool area with my dear and tender, to leave the Small Pension as in a rejuvenating dream!

Absolute gem of a hotel. Beautifully designed and kept from the entrance to the rooms. Charlotte, the owner, is an amazing host and her attention to every detail is reflected across the property. Rooms are very warm and welcoming with all amenities that you could require. Breakfast was excellent. Safe and secure parking is also available at an additional cost close to the hotel. Thank you Charlotte and team for an excellent stay... will be back!

Yes, Just as Kim said ask the hotel for a little map so you can get to where the city has a little barrier and you can drive through that (with a code if it is closed) to the hotel which is wonderfull.
Have fun!
