Before going deeply into describing Heliconia, I find it important to first be clear on the definition: it's a Lodge, in the middle of the Amazon. It's not a five star accommodation ... it's not an any amount of stars accommodation no where! In order to get here you have to make an hour and a half speed boat trip...

I would definitely recommend to visit Heliconia Amazon River Lodge. The lodge is very comfortable, the food is definetely very tasty. I travelled together with a small international group of 7 people UK, Hong Kong, Spain and our local guide Vladimir was very knowledgable. The swimming pool after the walk is really great to cool down. We saw different monkey...

Great adventure at one of the most unique places I have traveled. I lived in an Amazon tributary a long time ago in Bolivia, but it did not have the "comforts of home" that the Heliconia had... The food was great, and the guides were very good. I was grateful that they had to leave the generators on all night,...

We stayed at the Heliconia Lodge at the end of May 2016. It was a bit of a sour experience from the beginning. Our flight from Lima to Iquitos was delayed by 6 hours and we missed the whole first day of the 2 night package. I was able to get on the phone with someone in their main office...

I loved my stay here at Heliconia Lodge and absolutely loved all the activities/excursions planned during my 4day/3night program. The lodge: Absolutely beautiful lodge! I was in Room 4, near the swimming pool. The room was big, spacious, comfortable, and clean.. more than what I expected! I also had a hammock room which looked out into the lodge's lush, green...

My husband and I were extremely impressed by this package tour and felt well taken care of the entire time. The lodge was clean and comfortable. Ok, some people complain about no ac or Internet but come on you're in the middle of the Amazon. It's actually nice to be cut off from the outside world. The food was delicious...

So not being a very adventurous sort of person I was kind of dreading the experience in the Amazon. After this experience I can confidently say that this was one of the best experiences I have had.
