#1 of 3 Speciality lodging in Deori
Travellers' Choice
Welcome to Gone Fishing! Our family cottages are located in Deori ,some 500 metres upstream from where the Kalwari Nullah merges with the Tirthan River. We are within the eco-zone of the Great Himalayan National Park, an unmatched UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hemmed by orchards and step farming fields on one side, pine and deodar forests on another, our cottages are quite literally cushioned in nature's lap.

To describe my wonderful experience of staying at Gone Fishing Cottages would take up a huge amount of space. There is so much I want to write in detail about the amazing time I had here that a few words would do little justice. But still I'd say, My holiday at GFC was immaculate and charming in every way. The cottages are spacious, clean, cozy comfortable, well ventilated and bright. The personal touch with which each cottage is done up speaks volumes of the classy taste of the Hosts. Uniquely designed with detailed attention to comfort and decor. One wakes up to the twittering sounds of a hundred different kinds of birds which is so thrilling. The stream just outside the resort is perfectly refreshing for a cool dip in the afternoon sun. The menu is very impressive. Surely there isn't another place one would find Fresh, hygienically prepared mouth watering food to die for. The property sits prettily amidst the scenic Valley with massive mountains on all sides and lush green pine and deodar trees. The staff was courteous and helpful which made my stay so smooth and comfortable. Last but not the least, I want to say a Huge Thank you to the rocking couple and Hosts ,Upendra and Dimple. I owe my flawless experience of staying at GFC to you Guys! The personal attention, thoughtfulness, warmth and care will always be fondly remembered. This is definitely one of the best holidays I've had. It was like such a big party I had everyday with you guys! I look forward to many many more such vacations at Gone Fishing cottages.

We wander places in search of contentment, joy and peace. Some serve our purpose, some supersede the purpose and land you in a zone of constant happiness, love and warmth, Gone fishing cottages is one of them. I spent a week of fun filled days with my husband at their magnificent property and we couldn't have asked for more. Dimple and Uppi were by far the most warm hosts we've ever come across. The cottages are spacious, dwelled with modern art and cater to your comfort stay. The view from the valley is whimsical and leaves you with goosebumps as you breathe the first morning fresh air. To top the desirability of this place, they serve you with their awesome food made and served with absolute love. lf you are at Tirthan, there's no other place to be.

Dear, dear Paveela What do we say! You constantly surprised us with your talents and skills in so many fields. The paintings you made here are amazing beyond words and we are humbled that the valley and gfc inspired you to create such masterpieces. And a big thank you for taking over the kitchen in the evenings and producing sumptuous snacks and dishes for us. The 2 weeks that you spent here just flew by and we are so very glad that Triyaksh and Joey joined you for 1 week. It was such a lovely time that we spent with you. Your art work and the boards you painted for us have brought so much colour and character to the property. Thank you , for everything! Love Dimple & Uppi

Loved spending every second at GFC. Beautifully done up by dimple and uppi, every corner carefully crafted and the rooms with a mix stoney and earthy feel with the hush of river nearby is an absolute pleasure. Delicacies served at the cafe are a delight, mouth watering and sumptuous meals to your liking. Lovely hikes nearby for adventure seekers. Definitely coming back soon. Thanks alot dear dimple and uppi ❤️

Gone Fishing Cottages at Deori at Tirthan Valley is such a beautiful place next to the stream & the cottage like accommodation is just fantastic. Ms. Dimple the owner of GFC has done it up so tastefully & makes sure the guest are comfortable at all times. The property is laid out very well where each cottage has its deck area for guest to unwind & soak in the views. The food served is so delicious, my favourite was Waffle with strawberry and vanilla ice cream, Momo s and the yummy biscuit pudding. Also the staff at GFC is so caring & attentive that you feel at home away from home. I can't wait to come back again to GFC !! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.
