We booked this accommodation a couple of days before arrival for the bargain price £55 for double room including breakfast. We arrived at about 8.30pm after a long journey and wondered if they were still serving meals. The staff were pleasant and welcoming and seemed very happy for us to order a meal even though they were about to finish.... More

We booked this hotel for one night on Trivago thinking that it was in Berwick upon Tweed (we wanted to spend the night in this town in particular) but once we arrived in Berwick, there was no Black Bull Inn there. Our sat nav showed that the hotel was in Lowick, 16 min from Berwick in the countryside. We were... More

Located at the far end of the village this pub has plenty of car parking space. Although it could do with some paint on the outside inside there is a warm welcome. The pub area is large including a separate dinning area called bistro but the food is the same where ever you sit. There is a wide variety of... More

Was looking for a base to visit Edinburgh for the tattoo. Didn't want to stop in Berwick and found the Black Bull while searching the web. To begin don't let the exterior put you off,( remember don't judge a book by it's cover). It is quite clearly stated not to arrive until 5.00 pm for check-in, we arrived just before... More

We stayed here for 1 night. Its a lovely quaint old pub with clean large bedroomd and nice en suite. We had a good meal in the restaurant and walked into the qauint village. Would recommend a nice pleasant stay in good clean accomodation in a lovely small village and a good cooked breakfast. We enjoyed our stay.

Excellent value B&B in an old fashioned clean and comfy Pub. Excellent beer and evening meal, served with a smile. Breakfast was enormous well cooked and delivered with a smile and a chat. Stayed there one night on a motorbike tour of North East/West, would recommend and certainly visit again.
