I had recently stayed at this resort . None the best than anywhere wildlife lodges in the world comparable to Goverenors camp in Kenya and etc. Excellant hospitality from resort manager Bijoy , Nature amidst riverside location gives all that serenity you want when you sit outside the lodge in the night listening all animal calls. Most exciting was the...

I can see why the duke and duchhess of cambridge chose to stay here. It's quiet, natural and luxurious all at once. The riverfront villas are definitely worth booking, because you can sit on the verandah and watch the birds for hours. The service is fantastic, the rooms are spotless, the safaris (included in the package) are with very knowledgeable...

Location was ideal - bang in the middle of a forest! Fireflies at night. Sounds of a Rhino on one occasion. In touch with nature totally. And yet comfortably set up for the entire stay. Carry some insect repellent. Attention to detail, impeccable. Food, fantastic. Our every need was well taken care of. Even the need for special items to...

Undoubtedly this is the best lodge near Kaziranga with cottages on stilts, located by River Diphlu. Rooms are generally clean with lovely balconies. Staff is courteous and helpful. Mr. Ronesh Roy who manages the place has some incredible wildlife experiences to share!

Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge stayed here last month and were delighted with the quaintness and serenity of the lodge. It would be " Lese Majeste" for me not to concur! The thatched and bamboo cottages on stilts made from local materials and furnished inside in a period style are evocative of a bye gone age but cunningly...

I and my wife had been there for 3 days in end January. Evidently one of the best I have seen in India, Europe or the US. There is something very earthly with all the 21st century facilities here. The staff need a special mention. Do make it a point to stay here when in Kaziranga.

We stayed at Diphlu at the end of a 3 week tour of India during which we stayed at 2 other wildlife reserves. Diphlu was the highlight of the reserves and a perfect way to end what was a memorable time in fantastic India. The large private high quality accomodation, the exceptional staff - all of them, the location and...

My husband and I stayed at Diphlu River Lodge for 1 night with friends from the UK on 17 March 2016. It is a tranquil oasis located on a river where one can observe Kaziranga wild life without leaving one's balcony or the comfortable open-air lounge bar. The rooms are large, well appointed and super-comfortable (big, thick mattress, soft pillows,...

When we arrived we were told that "Your King and his Princess are coming here next week" and indeed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge followed us in staying here. They and we chose well. The rooms are large and well-appointed with air conditioning should you need it. None of the park gates are very far to go and we...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Diphlu River Lodge is the only lodge at Kaziranga National Park that is situated right at the border of the park. We offer all-inclusive stays from three to ten days. Our well-trained naturalists take you out into the park by jeep, elephant or even on foot. We also offer jungle and river walks, village visits and boat rides on the Brahmaputra river where you may also get to view the rare Gangetic River Dolphin. With only twelve twin-bedded cottages, eight of which are individual and four semi-detached, Diphlu River Lodge is intimate in size and built using natural materials (like bamboo, thatch, etc.). Besides comfortable beds, each cottage has a pleasant sit-out as well as a writing desk, mini-bar and a small fridge. A complimentary selection of tea and coffee and an electric kettle is also at hand for when you need a cuppa.
