Beautiful grounds and individual cottages so to speak. Excellent staff and food was good. The manager is a delightful individual and you should try and spend some time with him. Grounds are wonderful and location to the park is outstanding.

This is unique and beautiful. The small lodge is near the river across which is the park. A delightful owner and our two guides were great. The park is beautiful. Not only did we see one horned rhinos (the most any place in the wild), we also had the amazing experience of seeing them mate--and after about half an hour...

Kaziranga is still one of India's best kept secrets. In recent years national parks like Corbett, Ranthambore and Tadoba have ended up becoming the casual hangouts of selfie-obsessed dispassionate weekend revelers. In contrast, Kaziranga attracts far more discerning travelers who show a genuine interest for wildlife. Kaziranga is in a sense the last frontier - raw, untouched expanses of wilderness,...

We stayed at this lodge during our visit to the Kaziranga national park in Dec 2016. The lodge is a mid-sized (i think max about 27/28 persons) property located on the banks of the Diphlu river. The lodge has their rooms / cottages on stilts - some of them facing the river. The lodge has an all inclusive plan -...

A small tuck away , beautifully appointed , which just merges with the surroundings of the World Heritage Site - Kaziranga , the food, the service and the ambience , just serene and perfect. I would be surprised if someone wouldn't choose this place over any other place in Kaziranga , and anyways William and Kate ( English Royals) must...

We spend 4 nights in a spacious river cabi, with excellent service and superb foo; but it was the naturalist and driver who made our safaris in the National park absolutely top experiences. They are a great team and they showed us al the different areas of the park, including all the specialities of those different eco systems. The naturist...

This a destination resort to which Kazhiranga is a fringe benefit. A kilometer from the entrance to the forest, it comes with all the trappings that a discerning traveller aspires for. The entrance is unassuming but as one walks from the reception into the accommodation area, the travails of the inward road-trip begin to quickly fade. Those inflicted by the...

You come to Diphlu River Lodge with only one objective - Kaziranga - and you will not be disappointed. Top class accommodation, good food, impeccable service by a most charming staff and serene surroundings. Just remember this is a "lodge" not a "resort" - you eat here, you sleep here - in luxury; rest of the time you spend in...

Diphlu River Lodge is a truly serene getaway from the hurly burly of urban life. Beautiful well appointed "homes" are nestled at the edge of the grasslands of Kaziranga, with every comfort, good healthy food, and a particularly charming host -- Mr Ronesh Roy -- awaiting the guests. Excellent service all round. The safaris are unforgettable, in particular early-morning elephant...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Diphlu River Lodge is the only lodge at Kaziranga National Park that is situated right at the border of the park. We offer all-inclusive stays from three to ten days. Our well-trained naturalists take you out into the park by jeep, elephant or even on foot. We also offer jungle and river walks, village visits and boat rides on the Brahmaputra river where you may also get to view the rare Gangetic River Dolphin. With only twelve twin-bedded cottages, eight of which are individual and four semi-detached, Diphlu River Lodge is intimate in size and built using natural materials (like bamboo, thatch, etc.). Besides comfortable beds, each cottage has a pleasant sit-out as well as a writing desk, mini-bar and a small fridge. A complimentary selection of tea and coffee and an electric kettle is also at hand for when you need a cuppa.
