First up, the property and rooms have great services and amenities provided at very competitive prices. The cottages have been renovated recently and were beautiful and well maintained. We also arranged for our elephant and jeep safari from here which was a smooth experience and very convenient. The food is average and is served at a Central Dining hall. Do...

A (semi) government lodge. We stayed in the main building. It is most of the time a good alternative for other lodges and sometimes the only one. A bit old fashioned like most of the other government owned lodges - no wifi and feels like the seventies. But if you like that, then the place may fit you. The room...

a. I took a 4 safari trip into Kaziranga with family members in the last week of March. Delightful as the jungle is, we really had a very good time with a diversity of sightings and photography. We had the same driver throughout, Chettry, very knowledgable himself, and helped us with better views and excellent sightings. Our guides were also...

The rooms are well furnished but lack of maintenance. Do not expect room service. The location of the hotel is very good and newly build resort rooms are good too. Fooding in this lodge is OK. The room cleaning is no no. The bathrooms is spacious and the fitting are in a very poor conditions due to lack of maintenance.

For a supposedly govt. owned place, its extremely well maintained. The rooms are spacious, include all amenities and yet are affordable. The in-house restaurant is also good. The sprawling lawns and the immediate surroundings of the place make it even more beautiful. Special honors to Mr. Anupam Bohra. Never seen a more gracious and helpful host.

We booked this well ahead through Mr Bora of ATDC. Though initially I was looking for a double bed room, but due unavailability I booked a cottage here. And I don't regret the call since the hospitality is superb, space in cottage is huge and most importantly it's neat and clean. Talking of the structure I would say it needs maintenance...

The main building of this lodge was 'recently renovated' however it is at best depressing. The common areas are unattractive and not in keeping with being at a national park. There is no place to sit in common areas or in the bedrooms. The bathrooms smell of sewers. The sheets had stains. Even though everyone is waking up early for...

I took a cottage costing Rs 1600 per night , have a very good space. Room is clean and neat. The Manager of the Lodge, Mr R D Burman is a nice person, helped me lot in my Jeep Safari although I arrived quite late at that day. The hotel takes you to for a cultural programme which I unfortunately...

Located just inside the Assam Tourism gate, it is indeed a beautiful govt. resort. Very fairly priced, rather on the lower side. We booked a cottage which had a huge bedroom with AC, TV, Tata Sky, Cabinets, Dressing table and huge space, a spacious and clean bathroom with geyser and a sitting area. The balcony outside the cottage is also...

My review of Aranya Lodge,Kaziranga this time will be in a Factual,Pros & Cons basis to help a little bit my fellow globetrotters. Pros.............. 1) Being a Govt. run property, the Aranya lodge boasts of a sprawling area with verdant gardens and greeneries, located outside the Central Kohora Range of Kaziranga. 2) The Private A.C.Cottages are a marvellous staying option...
