Meant to review this as soon as we got back - that was last October I think, and somehow didn't get around to it! Couldn't recommend more highly. Really nice place in a beautiful location, feels like the middle of nowhere but equally no more than a short drive from Merthyr / Dowlais. Very friendly and helpful hosts - we...

We visited for two nights in August after seeking a beautiful hideaway in the Brecon Beacons: great location for walking and fantastic views of the resevoir from our stained glass window. Wow, this place didn't disappoint! Paul and Ros are really great hosts- they made contact via email as soon as we made the booking, offering directions and advice on...

Hi Lauren. Wow, what a lovely review. We are delighted you had a good time, both here at our B&B and in the Brecon Beacons in general. It is a beautiful area to visit, and we would be very pleased to welcome you back in the future. As you will have children soon...perhaps think about booking the lodge next time!...

A lovely quiet, if not wet, stay in the Brecon Beacons. Paul and Ros are warm and friendly hosts, with lots of good local knowledge and advice to give. We stayed in the spacious deluxe bedroom of this converted chapel overlooking the garden and reservoir - with a very comfortable bed. As we were nearing the end of our 3...

The place is lovely, and the owners are really nice. Paul and Ros were very welcoming, and could not be more helpful. When for a meal in the local pub, Red Cow???, and although I never eat chips - they were amazing. The scenery was lovely, and I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend away.

Paul and Ros are knowledgeable and accommodating hosts and they serve up a tasty breakfast in this quiet ‘get away from it all’ location. Great area for walking and outside pursuits. For those looking for escape from the frantic urban pace, look no further – an easy 30-minute drive north of Cardiff/M4. ‘Fantastic location for outdoor pursuits of all kinds, especially hill walking. We discovered a tranquil and peaceful location, and warm hospitality. Paul generously shares personal knowledge of the hiking trails, including the 3 beacons within easy striking distance. Ros...

Hi Sarah. Thank you so much for your review. We're delighted you enjoyed the room and breakfast (the hens were SO pleased when I told them!) and also your long hike up the mountains. A truly wonderful stay, with wonderful hosts in a beautiful location. Our 2 night break started months before we arrived. As soon as the booking was made Paul and Ros got in touch. I explained my plans (Birthday Surprise) and immediately they offered suggestions of things to do (places to go and where to eat). The email back and forth...

Wow, Richard, what an amazing review. We really don't know what to say as the review sums up so well what we try to do here. We were so pleased you enjoyed your stay, despite the rather inclement weather inflicted on you at times. You did the right thing by going for it, though! We hope that you do return...
