Plas Bach is one of the best places I have ever stayed. The host Peter is very friendly and helpful . The small cottage for two is perfect as are the gardens, the wood burner is a treat, a basket of goodies on arrival , a small cat for company. I would recommend this if you like peace and calm....

Pure magic. We didn't want to leave and will return as soon as we can. Go to sleep with the sound of nothing but the little stream behind you and wake up to have breakfast on the veranda with the most stunning landscaped gardens as your view. Cannot fault a single thing about Plas Bach and feel blessed to have...

We have just returned from our third trip and have already booked to return in December. Our visits have consisted of one long weekend, a midweek stay and our last visit was for a week. It's just a magical place. We really do leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready to take on the world again. We forced ourselves to leave...

I absolutely loved my 4 night stay in Plas Bach. It is a wonderful retreat with beautiful walks in the hills and only a 20 minute walk through fields (on public footpaths) to Hay on Wye. The welcome basket was lovely - a couple of bottles of local cider, an amazing!!! lemon drizzle cake, and a locally made loaf of...

We've been coming to Lower House since finding it by happy accident in 2008, and have now lost count of our stays in Plas Bach. All the other reviews are absolutely spot on - it has everything you need for a peaceful, healing few days, including the world's most comfortable bed and a little stream running just outside the window...

Just returned from a delightful short stay at Plas Bach, Lower House in Cusop, Hay-on-Wye. Plas Bach is a beautiful cabin in the garden of Lower House. It is perfect for a romantic break ... just outside the town of Hay (it's a short walk across the fields or by road to the town centre). The cabin is spotlessly clean,...

Our second stay at Plas Bach. Such a peaceful, welcoming retreat. Cozy and warm, spotlessly clean. The Lower House and Plas Bach are just a short distance from Hay on Wye. So short that really you are in Hay without the traffic noise. You can either walk across a couple of fields to get into Hay or drive a half...

If you want a place to unwind in private but not too far removed from civilisation then this is the place for you. Peacefull with the exception of the wildlife. Set back in beautiful gardens that have been created with love and hard work. Walks on your doorstep. A trip across a farm and fields to get to the village...

We stayed at Plas Bach in Summer 2015. A truly wonderful few days. Its proximity to Hay on Wye make it perfect for town and country days out. That said, you could just stay at Plas Bach all day - there is a specialness to this place. The carefully thought-out and dreamy self-catered cabin amidst the beauty of peaceful garden...

“Wifi can be a little slow upstairs in the Oak Room. It's better in the adjoining living room and even better in the downstairs sitting room (good excuse to curl up in front of the fire!). If you absolutely must access the internet then most of the coffee shops and restaurants in the town provide good, fast and free wifi.”
