Stopped off en route back from Alps . Took a family room for 4 and a huge double bedroom/suite . All very tastefully furnished and decorated with comfortable beds and pillows which is unusual in good hotels in France . Stunning and historic building with beautiful grounds . The owners were away but we were very well looked after by...

OK. This was a splurge for my birthday. A real castle. Or chateau. Whatever… A huge house a couple rooms shy of the Queen. We had the Pommard room which took up like one-third of the top floor of one wing. We had to go up the stone steps in a turret to get to it. There was a huge...

We stayed at de Chateau de Melin for two nights and had a very nice experience. First off all we got an upgraded room which was very nice!! It's a very beautiful place with a lot of different wine castles in the area. We rented some bikes from a camping ground and had a ride around in the wine yards....

This little slice of paradise, tucked away in the hills outside of Beaune, is a superb hotel! Run by a family, the castle is spectacular. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are really comfortable, something that was not lost on my family. The owners did a great job of renovating the old chateaux and keeping its original charm...

Our family stayed at Chateau de Melin during our February visit to Burgundy. It was wonderful and host Helene very helpful. We were all looking forward to the breakfast every morning. The breakfast room had a beautiful fireplace and the music was a wonderful addition to the experience.

We stopped in Beaune on our way to Tignes from Paris. We had a great stay at Chateau de Melin. First of all, it is a beautiful property. We walked around the grounds and attempted to feed the wild ducks in the pond out front. The chateau itself is very quaint and parts of the building are from the late...

Weaving along the roads of the cote d'or of Volnay and Pommard one reaches this Bed and Breakfast, or "chambre d'hote". Breakfast is taken collectively in a huge, lovely family room complete with fire place. The young energetic owner is here to greet guests, be helpful, provide comfort and a good breakfast but otherwise leaves you alone. Greatly appreciated. Our...

What a dream to tour Burgundy's vineyards by day and return to a beautiful chateau at night! Although unfortunately we only stayed one evening, Helen was a lovely hostess who provided an exceptional breakfast with every choice you could imagine. Our oversize room was at the top of a winding tower staircase (we left our large luggage in the car...

Chateau De Melin is absolutely the place to stay in Burgandy. The Derats and their cousin Jean treated us like family. They took care of our every need! The Chateau is stunningly beautiful and the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Be sure to save space in your rental car to purchase some of the wine of Chateau de Melin. We...

“we had a room on the second floor with a balcony in the building across from the main house. Our hosts were excellent and very charming. They took care of our every need, and when they were not busy, would come over to talk and help with daily planning. Ask about the local restaurants, and good winery visits. When we were there, it was harvest time, so we didn't have a chance to see the winery operations at the Chateau”
