My husband and I stayed at Black Rock four nights during the second week of October. Black Rock was the first stop on our honeymoon and we were quite impressed! We were upgraded to a river front suite and even though we did not need the extra space, we loved falling asleep to the sounds of the river and jungle!...

We stayed for a week at Black Rock Lodge in February. The hospitality of the Black Rock team was wonderful They have a team of 7 guides that lead amazing trips you can choose -- down the Macal river by canoe or raft, into the rain forest for birding, into caves used in Mayan rituals, to Mayan ruins like Tikal...

From the moment we were picked up at the airport by the Black Rock Lodge staff until the moment we checked out, we can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay with Black Rock. Our driver from the airport stopped in San Ignacio and took us to a local restaurant before we got to the resort, which allowed...

Some friends and I stayed at Black Rock Lodge the last week in September 2015 and I we were all thoroughly impressed with the facilities, meals and staff. The lodge is quite remote but the ride in from San Ignacio was scenic and interesting. The cabins we had were basic but quite comfortable and the rustic nature was in keeping...

Synopsis: friendly staff and guests create a delightful ambiance in the middle of the jungle. Tons of tours & activities nearby, which will hopefully be sufficient to keep you busy since wifi is dodgy. Pros: * Very clean & well-appointed rooms. Each room is surrounded in screened windows, giving the feeling that you're sleeping in the middle of the rain...

Get away from it all! Quiet ambiance alongside a rushing river in the jungle. Off the grid as well. Complimentary tubing and mountain biking. Great hospitality, with very reasonable delicious restaurant on site. Do note there's no ac, and the 6 mile gravel road to get there will make you think you've taken a wrong turn, but keep going -...

My son and I visited Black Rock Lodge for two nights the first week in October and it was amazing. I would strongly recommend arranging transportation from Belize International Airport through the Lodge if you aren’t renting a car. We thoroughly enjoyed talking and laughing with Diego and hearing all about this amazing country. The Lodge is beautiful and the...

We just got back from a two night stay in a River Front Suite at Black Rock. We were a family of four traveling with two kids, ages 6 and 4. In short, we loved our stay. The owners, Cam and Kelly, were wonderful and so accommodating and the facilities were great. The rest of the staff was top notch....

We went there with 3 kids for an extended weekend. What a great place, fantastic views, great staff, wonderful food etc etc. Kids, and adults, had a great time rafting/tubing in the Macao river. We went on a hike to the (somewhat) nearby flowercamp cave. Unbelievable experience with a very knowledgable guide from the hotel. We will be back😀

Jungle setting with lovely, simple, airy cabins. The cabins feel very private, but all the guests meet for breakfast and dinner in the dining area. The food was superb; the guides were top-notch. Carlos and Victor took me and my daughter to nearby Mayan ruins, on a canoe trip, to a local resturant and market. The lodge was impeccably clean...
