I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is -- stunningly beautiful, delicious food, and so many choices of interesting things to do. Although most impressive for me was the staff. I don't think I've ever been to a hotel/lodge where every person who worked there was exceptional. They were attentive with the sensitivity to know when to give...

This review is WAY overdue. We visited this past winter and our busy lives back in the states pushed this review to the back burner. My wife and I are now planning this years trip and all the memories from last year are surfacing. We arrived by driving our rental car into the lodge. Not that bad a drive and...

We didn't know what to expect when leaving San Ignacio to Black Rock Lodge. The drive is roughly 25 minutes to the resort from the city and what a beautiful drive it was. We drove which made the experience much better than taking a taxi or shuttle. Upon our arrival we were treated with complimentary cocktails and taken aside for...

Within our drive up the rocky path to the Black Rock Lodge we fell in love with it. Hidden among the jungle-massed mountains the views are stunning, some of which can be viewed from the refreshing outdoor pool. The staff are both friendly and knowledgable and there's plenty of tours/adventures to choose from to keep you busy. If there's a...

It's not fair to just say that the location is spectacular when everything about Black Rock is done so well and with such personal attention. From the beautiful dining services with an amazing view to wonderful "cabins" to so many fun and adventurous activities, your only regret is likely to be that you don't have an additional day to stay....

When we took the turnoff to Black Rock Lodge, we had no idea where we were going, deeper and deeper into the rainforest, passing through orchards, and cattle farms. It was such a build up, and it did not disappoint. We fell in love straight away with the amazing view from the deck, and instantly asked to spend another night...

My wife and I spent three great nights a Black Rock lodge at the end of May 2015. My sister and brother-in law had suggested Chaa Creek, a popular place down the road from Black Rock lodge which they stayed the previous year. Through Trip Advisor, my wife suggested we try Black Rock lodge as it seemed beautiful and maybe...

My boyfriend & I stayed at Black Rock for a few nights while we traveled across Belize & into Guatemala. We stayed in four different accommodations throughout our trip & Black Rock was by far our favorite. It's located deep in the jungle & is quite the drive to get to, but it was well worth it. After arriving late...

We came from the beach to the jungle and fell in love with Black Rock Lodge. Wish we had planned to stay longer - we loved the deluxe waterfall room/cabana and the lodge was first class all the way. We did all the free things - hiked to the summit, tubed down the river and over the rapids, mountain biked...
