It's a beautiful lodge ran by thoughtful and kind staff. The room was spacious with an extra large king bed. I especially enjoyed the panoramic views from the top of the mountain. The game drives were exciting, ranger and guide were knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. The food was delicious. I absolutely enjoyed this place.

Perched on a rocky outcrop on the rim of the Malelane Mountains and with spectacular views across the Mthethomusha Game Reserve, the Bongani Mountain Lodge is an incredible location. Booked through Africasafari, this outstanding tour consisted of 7 nights here followed by 4 nights in Cape Town. Sure, an exceedingly long trip from Jo'burg airport, then transfer to a jeep...

We stayed at Bongani for two nights. The place was very hard to reach, we first drove wrong due to our navigation system. Although there was a sign of the lodge on the dirt road in the middle of a very poor township like neighborhood the reception couldn't tell us where we are and let us drive back to the...

An amazing drive up and down the mountain - fun at first though it did get a little tedious after a week! Room was fantastic - huge bath in the bedroom - used once on a very cold night. Otherwise the shower was good. Huge bed also - I think it may have been two queen sized ones pushed together....

Our last stop on our safari trip to SA. To begin with there is a fairly hazardous trip up the mountain - and that was after a lengthy and bone shaking ride along the road through the township. The first view of the lodge is impressive and the setting is certainly breath taking. Unfortunately our reception was pretty chaotic, not...

The place is great and the service they provide is even better. The buffet spread has good food and the staff is friendly and helpful. What does not sit well, is the ride to this place. We stayed at bongani just one night. It was quite a journey to get there - 7km of rough road that passes in between what seems to be a township of some sort. Once you get to the gate, a ranger picks you up and through a 30 min drive takes you up to the lodge. The premises are well...
