Plenty of pillows, clean and fluffed , Ac was perfect, shampoo soap conditioner awesome, not a luxury hotel by all mean, for the price point did it’s job, the staff is very well trained, attentive and smiling, ride from the international airport 90 minutes $99 to $120 USA dollars, put that in your vaca budget.

A holiday in St Lucia isn't cheap, which is why although the wonderful Bay Gardens Hotel isn't cheap, it offers genuine value for your money. It's clean and comfortable. All the staff are friendly and helpful, right down to the cleaners and gardeners. Everyone greets you with a "Hello, how are you?". And speaking of gardeners, this resort is a beautiful lush garden, where, if you're careful, you can spot hummingbirds. There are several swimming pools and the accommodation varies depending on your budget. We opted for the standard room which was clean and comfortable with a bath/shower and plenty of hot water. Our bed was a lovely large queen size which is good when the weather is warm and you don't want too much a/c. Our room was cleaned every day, the bed made and optional towel change depending on how eco you are. The room had a kettle & fridge and complimentary tea & coffee. Although an all inclusive stay is available, we opted for just bed & breakfast, and oh what a splendid breakfast it is: one of the best buffet breakfasts we've encountered, with the cooked options changing daily. O.K so the orange juice wasn't freshly squeezed, but it was as good as you'd find from your local supermarket. We ate supper and lunch at the hotel restaurant a couple of times and although it was O.K, but we thought it quite expensive for what it was. There are a few other local restaurants just around the corner. They have musical evenings which aren't everyone's 'cup of tea', but you can be free to choose. One of the really good things about the Bay Garden resorts is the shuttle bus that runs between the various locations and the lovely sandy beach at the Bay Gardens Beach Resort, where the loungers and shade is free and you can also access the bar and restaurant depending on your all inclusive/B&B status. There are also a number of other bars and restaurants just along the beach. It is possible to book excursions to some of the amazing things to do on the island through the hotel. We went on the half day rainforest tour and the boat trip/hot mud bath/waterfall and snorkelling day but that's another review. If you want to feel well looked after and don't want to spend ÂŁ1,000 a day, as some hotels charge, then the Bay Gardens Hotel should suit you too. This is Paradise.

What a little gem of a hotel. After reading some of the recent reviews I was a little apprehensive but I needn't have worried. Yes the hotel could do with a little updating here and there but for the price you pay it's an absolute find. Part of a small group of hotels it operates an hourly free shuttle bus between their properties. We used this most days to go to their beach hotel. Our room was large and spacious, the bathroom a little tired but perfectly functional and clean. The beds were comfortable, there's plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, very efficient air-conditioning unit and a good sized terrace with chair and table. We were on all inclusive and although you have to take breakfast in the hotel your other meals (and drinks) can be taken at the other properties as well. Breakfast was good, not the best I've ever had but perfectly adequate and apart from the small buffet you can order omelettes etc which were very good, the coffee was also very good! We had lunch and dinner there a few times too and the food was very good if a bit samey. You change it up by having some meals at the other hotels. There is a filtered chilled water machine near the bar and restaurant to fill your water bottles which is really useful and saves asking for more plastic bottled water from the bar. But by far the best thing about this hotel are the staff, they work tirelessly (in that wonderful laid back Caribbean style) to ensure you have a wonderful stay. We had a couple of little issues with our rooms which on both occasions someone was there to resolve it within 5 minute of reporting. For 3 star prices you are getting a total gem of a hotel but if you want a 5 star flawless property you can pay 5 star prices elsewhere! I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and I have no doubt I will be back, hopefully sooner rather than later.

I'm a very simple person so I don't require much. The room could've had a longer shower curtain so that the floor wasn't constantly getting wet while showering as well as the shower head could've had more pressure coming out. The room was quiet, the AC cooled the room and even though the room was outdated I knew what I paid for. The location was convenient and close by a mall and shopping. Everything was centered at the Bay Gardens Hotel which was right across the street and around the corner, the restaurants, the excursions concierge, and the entertainment for dinner. The women that worked at the Spice's restaurant made me feel out of place and like I didn't belong. They kept staring at me and pointing in my direction like we were in high school. They should learn more manners and how to make "all" guests feel welcomed. However, the men that worked there were very welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate me. I know that the UVF airport is over an hour and a half away but I feel like the taxi service that the Inn offered could've been at more of a discount than $90 (one way) especially for all-inclusive members. Overall I would stay at this hotel again especially since I'm a budget traveler.

Hotel is very tired and really needs updating. The room was fine but the bathroom was seriously in need of replacing. A few of the staff were very friendly and helpful but the majority were surly and you felt like you were not welcome and imposing on their time. The food is terrible in my opinion and if I had paid to be fully inclusive I would have been extremely disappointed and this would be a 1 star review. The grounds are well maintained, but the pools are very small, good job the beach is so close. We used the free shuttle to take us the the beach and this was very much appreciated in the humid conditions.

Not the best experience, hotel staff wasn’t so friendly on my first arrival after I saw my room I ask for a different room ..the room was very shabby more so like A shelter.. I explained to the front desk that the room was not even close set up for a guest and she responded that’s what I paid for and it was no more rooms available…I told her that the tv in the room was not clear and was not visible…there was no outlet for American chargers and the door latch for safety was broken…she just stared at me…and told me I can probably get an adapter from the supermarket…I requested to speak to the manager I was told to walk over to the next property and speak to her…the manager was very nice and told me she couldn’t change my room until Saturday and it was Thursday..she also sent maintenance to resolve the issue with the outlet not being compatible with USA charging..he was supposed to bring an adapter he just bought a single extension cord that me and my children had to rotate using to charge our phones… the television was not fixed it looked that a antenna was needed to get reception…next day house keeping entered the room while my son was asleep to clean room they did knock but my son was sleeping.( they latched on the door was broken so we couldn’t put it on). I was told I was supposed to request no service for them not to come in if no one answered…my son went to get in the shower and the shower curtain fell on him..maintenance had to come again to fix it This place has 4 properties The inn, the hotel the resort and the marina Food was decent better at the resort the hotel food was not bad but they do have cats in the dining area that are very friendly but not something I liked dinning with cats was not for me my son refused to eat there because of the cats and I paid for breakfast and dinner for my whole family so my son refusing to eat because of the cats as pets in the dining restaurant was a waste of my money and his cause he ate in town every single day breakfast lunch and dinner ….overall my experience was about a 4 and that’s because the first few nights was horrible and dimmed my vacation and the cats in dinning restaurant …terrible room ..room broken door latch ..However despite the fact that the first room looked like a shelter the room the change me to was nice…and had outlets I can use as well as better televisions everything was cool at the new room it didn’t even look like the first one was even apart of the bay garden properties the first room was terrible terrible terrible…and I didn’t get no money back oh and they charged me 1400 upon arrival…something about country tax or whatever

We stayed for a week and found the hotel to be incredibly underwhelming. Based on the description we were expecting a lot more and found it to be a let down. The food at the one restaurant was quite bland and the staff had to be reminded we were missing things we ordered. The bar was okay at best but service wasn’t great. Our room looked like it still needed to be cleaned especially the tub which even though had a mat didn’t take away how rundown it looked. I felt like I needed shower shoes. We did enjoy the pools some but it was just kinda boring.
We did visit the sister resort and spa but there wasn’t much there either. The food was okay-ish but took really long time to come out. The bar staff made better drinks but they were still quite slow. The towel policy of charging $60 per towel at both hotels is absurd especially since we were paying for all inclusive. The beach was fine but the inflatable playground took away from the scenery. There were many locals coming over to ask us to buy things which was annoying but if we said no, they’d leave.
In order to do any excursions you’d have to pay more even with the all inclusive which deterred us from doing them. Same with the spa. I booked the hotel with Expedia and they said the spa was only included if you booked with the hotel. Well then what’s the point of including all inclusive as an option??? We did do a couples massage which was the best part of the hotel. The staff were amazing.
I think overall, the amount we thought we could save staying at this hotel wasn’t worth the difference because we spent more money looking for things to do which would have been inclusive at a better hotel. We definitely will be staying somewhere else next time.

10 days in paradise spoiled by poor service, shabby surroundings and don't care attitudes. This hotel needs a refurbishment, more better trained staff and confiscation of staff phones. Clearly a job for the management and owners. Most staff were very friendly, but others let the side down, some shuttle drivers, servers, chefs, cleaners not doing their job properly. Management needs to do more inspections on common areas as they are not clean and more training for servers. Owners need to upgrade the kitchen and restaurant areas, they are not up to standard. Chefs need to provide better and diverse menus and get hot food to the table and on time. Other reviewers have highlighted more specific areas or incidents and I agree to all that's been said. This review in part concerns their sister Bay Resort Hotel. Finally tour operators please make more inspections before you jeopardize your reputations.

We travelled here as a family of four in April with our two teenage children for two weeks. We had the All Inclusive package. The hotel is very nice and clean and having the use of all four hotels in the group is a nice addition (the shuttles run pretty frequently). Having read some of the previous reviews, we were a little concerned about the food but overall it was fine. It is not 5 star food but you are not paying 5 star prices, there was always plenty of choice. The days when it was a buffet wern't always great, but then you could get the shuttle to one of their other hotels and eat A La Carte there. The drinks included in the package were the local unbranded spirits but they were fine, you could also get the local branded beer or Coke if you wanted and there was a great selection of cocktails to choose from. The pools in the hotels were all quite small, but we never had any problem getting four sunbeds at any time of day despite the hotel being full. On top of that, you could get to the beach easily on the shuttle which was beautiful and again, no problem getting a sunbed. The entertainment at the hotel was pretty basic and the bar shut at 11 every night, so not the place to stay if you're looking for a wild time. The staff in general were very helpful, in particular the front desk. We had a problem with one of our rooms as BA had booked a double instead of a twin for our kids, despite the hotel being fully booked as it was Easter, they managed to move things around and get another bed into a room so we were sorted. A big thank you to Erin for that. Some of the food staff seemed permanently grumpy and sometimes the service was slow, but your on holiday and that's just the way it goes. Prices outside the hotel for food and drink were pretty expensive so the All Inclusive package is good value for money. We also hired a car for a couple of days whilst we were there contrary to all the advice. It was absolutely fine. The roads are not good but if you're a confident driver and you've driven in Greece or Southern Italy before, you will be fine. Make sure you get to Sugar Beach if you can, it was a short water taxi ride from Soufriere ($80 USD return) and was absolutely beautiful. All in all, it was a great holiday, the weather was perfect, the island is beautiful and the chilled pace makes you take things easy. Would stay there again.
