Booked a table for a family birthday meal for lunch, it was my first time back since the pub had undergone a refurbishment. Staff were friendly and professional at all times. The menu had an excellent choice with lunch time specials also. The food was exceptional, well presented, with the duck and steak cooked to perfection. The decor and layout...

We popped in here for some food on a Sunday afternoon on the drive back from Peckforton Castle, the setting just off the main road i imagine would look stunning on a nice summers day with the lake behind and plenty of outdoor seating. We hadn't booked but were found a table for 2 quite quickly, the service was a...

Very disappointed with the food mainly. Booked a table for four on new years Eve, nice refurbished venue, two of us ordered pate for starters which wasn't very nice, pieces of liver on the side were like rubber, well we are not complainers so just dismissed it as ah well main course will be fine, ummm we all ordered the...

We have visited this pub twice now in the past few months. Both times we have asked for a table for two. Both times we have been given a table in a poor location where a table shouldn't even be. You can't eat in the bar near the warm fire.

We were immediately impressed by the warm welcome the staff gave us and the overall impression of the Inn was great. The food was first class with a good variety of choice for both dinner and breakfast. We were shown to our room by Julie who was at pains to point out the fact that the building was over 400...

Visited with friends for a weekday lunch. The Prawn Cocktails were very nice and well presented, however the main courses weren't very good. My Pork Schitznel was burnt on the outside and very dry in the middle, and was served with a small amount of salad and chips, but no vegetables. The Fish & Chips was also served with a...

From the moment we arrived we had a great impression of friendliness and quality, from the bar itself to the very well-kept beers. The room was genuinely lovely with exposed beams everywhere. The towels were really fluffy, the room was exceptionally clean, and the bed was superbly comfortable. We had a meal in the restaurant which was equally high quality,...

8 of us had met up for a meal at The Alvanley Arms after work, we had been before and enjoyed the food so thought we'd go again! When we were seated the guy who came over to take our order was very impatient, wanting our orders sooner rather than later. Our food arrived after about 10-15 minutes and all...

I was received by a beautifully hidden Inn at the countryside of Winford, with a lake on the back of the establishment covered by a beautiful evening fog at the backside, the inside of the Inn beautifully curated and greeted by friendly staff who explained me the acces and hours of service of the hotel, the room although small was...
