Detailed Reviews
My husband and I spent a few days in one of their log cabins and our stay included the meal plan. This resort has a fair amount of land on a picturesque lake, which included hiking trails and many location to enjoy the view. The meal plan was well worth it and the 'homestyle' food was excellent. We plan to go again next year.

We've been traveling to Loughborough Inn from NJ every year for 19 years (minus Covid). I absolutely love it there. If you are looking for peace, quiet, beauty, and views to die for, this is the place for you. We've stayed in different accommodations, but primarily stick with either a 2 bedroom lakeview cabin or the one bedroom log chalet.
The log chalets are gorgeous, but further back from the lake. They have a huge porch and a jacuzzi. The lakeview and lakeside cabins are a little less luxurious, but all have air conditioning and full kitchens (except Maples). We take advantage of the meal plan because the food is fantastic and plentiful and the dining room is a great place to socialize with other guests. It's like being home, but someone else does all the cooking!
Fishing is phenomenal on the lake and you can rent a boat at the marina, or bring your own. Just be sure to get a map that indicates where the rocks are, or you will be buying a new propeller!
Data is fine, internet is sketchy. But you'll not want to be in touch with the rest of the world, since it's so relaxing just being there. Besides fishing, there is an outdoor heated pool, kayaks, hydro bikes, volleyball, a kids' play ground, outdoor chess, etc. There's also a really cool nature trail through the woods.
If you are looking for a place to relax, reset, make new friends, and just "be", definitely treat yourself to a trip to Loughborough Inn.

The cabins are not only beautiful, but immaculately clean. The amenities are beyond any I've experienced before including everything you would want to keep young ones entertained. The staff are extremely accommodating and friendly - really went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. The heated pool, some cabins and the grounds are disability friendly. Oh and the food - we had the meal plan and it was 100% worth it! My husband had the prime rib TWICE and we had a picnic lunch made up to take on a rented pontoon boat - plenty of sandwiches so good!

We stayed in the housekeeping cottages, so no comment on the food. Dinning room wasn't open due to covid. The square log cottages are beautiful inside. Amazing beds and bathrooms. Very comfortable. Inside access to the screened porch is also very nice.
property is nice. Walk out to the point, we had a campfire there at night. Also the hike on the nature trail is great (it could be a bit better marked). The main issue we had was that the swimming area in the lake could be nicer and a couple more canoes, paddle boats, etc. would be nice. Overall a great stay and we would return.

We had a family reunion at the Inn and it was amazing. Mark, the manager, was so helpful and accommodating. There was several common areas to enjoy, a large dock, kayaks, canoes, etc. to enjoy. They also have a large outdoor pool. The cabins were very clean and had everything you would need.

This is a beautiful place and we overall enjoyed our stay. The food was amazing and most of the staff were friendly. However, there is a glitch when you book online, where you must choose your accommodation (ie. name of cottage/cabin) before continuing, but when you check in, you can be given any accommodation. We didn't get what we thought we had booked and were instead given a smaller cottage, while the one we wanted sat empty for the duration of our stay. Also, the photos of the cottages on their website do not all match the actual cottage (the online photos of our cottage were actually of the bigger cottage, not ours!). This issue could have easily been resolved with us, but unfortunately the manager was unwilling to acknowledge/address the problem. We highly recommend dealing with Haneia at the front desk if possible, as she was so friendly, listened and empathized with our concerns, and did her best to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

I go up about 3 times a year. The hospitality makes the 6 hr drive worth it. The fishing is excellent, with plenty of space and species to catch. You can't beat the price for lodging and the American plan. This is a great place for folks who want to put time on the water. They are incredibly accommodating and all around great people. The dining room is filled with generations of visitors. I have been going for 4 years and there are families with three generations of visitors.

I have been going to the Loughborough Inn twice a year for the last few years and have never been disappointed. The rooms are clean, the staff is great, the food is good and the fishing is terrific. This is my go to place when fishing in Canada. The square log cabins are the best, plenty of room for four people.

Thank you for your wonderful comments on Loughborough Inn and Loughborough Lake. As you probably saw from our web site, there have been many changes to Loughborough Inn since the 50’s, but we have kept the relaxed, family atmosphere! Loughborough Lake is still a very clean lake and has great fishing, especially for Bass (both large and small mouth). I hope that someday soon, you can fit us into your vacation schedule, we would love to have you come back. Please contact us with any questions.
Sincerely,
Harvey Webster
