Delightful little place, with its Buddhist themed decor and beautiful enchanting gardens and landscape. A quite and serenely attractive property. Dont expect anything else, this establishment caters for that purpose. Charming guests take care of your needs. Wonderful breakfasts are served. Do visit if you wish to escape what it is you need to.

Other reviewers will tell you about the AMAZING breakfast, quiet serene environment and beautiful nature views. However, what I loved most was the energy of the hosts: Audrey and Bogey: Friendly, interesting, smart, caring and warm. We felt very much at home and will definitely return.

Visited the area for a wedding and stayed in the Family Suite and it was lovely! What a perfect weekend with warm hospitality from our hosts Audrey and Bogey. Marley, our Airedale Terrier, was also welcomed so it made our stay extra special. The blueberry muffins were absolutely delicious!

Tucked away in the trees, simple but very interesting layout. I had the room with king size bed, the room was very well decorated with a private sun room. Breakfast was excellent and the hosts were great. Worth the money!

You shouldn't miss the opportunity to experience Shambhala's Yuletide Tour and Tea. This beautiful gem tucked away in the woods in Buckhorn, Ontario is truly magical. The atmosphere combined with the warm hospitality and absolutely delicious food served during the tea made this an experience to treasure. Every space has been transformed into a Christmas wonderland. The Tea started with... More

We stayed at this quaint B & B while searching for a rental property in the Kawaratha Lakes. The property was beautiful in the inside (with lots to look at) and also on the outside. The owners were simply amazing! They were friendly and we loved hearing about their life story at the breakfast table in the morning. Thanks again... More

If you like your accommodation style sleek, minimalist, modern, white, then Shambhala is definitely not for you. There's not a spot of wall or surface-top that I could see that wasn't covered with some quirky treasure or fascinating (sometimes bizarre) object. Of course that's the charm. And Shambhala has charm in spades! We only stayed one night, and I'm sure... More

Bogey and Audrey were as charming and welcoming as ever and they really go the extra mile and put their all into making your stay special. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite downstairs which was great for our family trip. This contained 2... More

It was an absolute pleasure staying at Shambhala which is located in the midst of a lake and garden setting. The cottage location and the surroundings are out of the world, very pristine, serene and away from the hustle bustle. We generally stay and known hotels and therefore this was an experiment as we felt very impressed by the reviews... More

Chose this little b&b because it was 5 minutes from a party I'd been invited to out of town. By far the BEST b&B I've ever stayed at. First, it's absolutely gorgeous. The eclectic decor and gardens just scream personality. I loved every inch of it. Our room was beautiful, included a private bath and breakfast in the morning was... More
