The Château de Bourron offers luxury weekend breaks. This luxury bed and breakfast is opened all year round in this elegant, family-owned castle. Within close vicinity of Paris and 7 kilometers from Fontainebleau, this magnificent and elegant private property was built in the early XVIIth century on the location of a feudal fortress. It is a true architectural example of traditional brick and stone style, and flanked by two small pavilions. Nestled in a private 40 hectare estate, it is surrounded by spring-fed moats. Experience the magic of a stay in this charming French historically classified monument.

A dream and a harbor of peace. Well maintained castle of 18 th century, with 45 hectares of gardens, water spaces and land. An exceptional discovery ! Car parking hidden, so that you may really enjoy nature view. Luggage taken away with an electric golf cart. Beautiful dining, or having breakfast in private huge saloons. And quietness is the king!

The service was excellent from the minute we arrived, all offered by the Owners. Car problems and hotels in the area closed due to Covid-19, led us to the Chateau. We were sorry it was just an overnight. Our room was nicely redone, with all the amenities and good view of the grounds. The complimentary coffee was a good treat to fight the cold night. WIFI was very good and we were able to charge our EV. At an additional charge, we had breakfast in the main castle, which offered a wide range of items for everyone. Only thing we did not like was the cold room. It would have been nicer if the heater had been on for our arrival. It took a while to heat up. We will make an effort to go back and stay longer. This is an ideal place for a romantic get away or family trip.

This was an amazing experience from the moment we drove up to the beautifully lit chateau, and were met in the drive. Our bags were carried up for us to a beautifully and historically appointed, comfortable and spacious room. Dinner was not served at the restaurant that evening, and we had purchased some fruit, cheese and wine. The owner graciously offered to set a table for us in the breakfast room, with beautiful dishes and wine glasses and an opener. It was most romantic! It was difficult to make choices at breakfast, with so many fresh and delicious options! The grounds are gorgeous, and we enjoyed walking outside, seeing the statue and the beautiful little hidden spots there. It is not often that we get to stay somewhere that actually has a moat surrounding it! The owners are approachable, speak English, are friendly and go out of their way to accommodate. They could not have been any more hospitable. The history of this home is incredible, and the grandmother of the owner was discussed at our tour of Chateau Fontainbleu. Her picture was on the tour, and the same picture hung in our room. If you enjoy authenticity and hospitality, this is the place for you! It was beautifully furnished, very comfortable, and clean. The owners are very friendly and will make you feel welcome.

It's not often that a US traveler to France gets to go to an actual chateau in an actual forest and be a guest. The proprietors were kind and considerate and the nearby forest, Fontainebleau and Vaux-le-Vicomte made our stay wonderful. We stayed in the cottage, and while I completely understand that a centuries old chateau doesn't always have the most comfortable bed and bathroom facilities (in all fairness, we are both over 6 feet all, so most beds are pretty small anyway...)I would do it again in heartbeat. People are wonderful in this part of France, and if you get the chance to stay here, you won't forget it.

My husband and I stayed at the Château during our 10th anniversary trip to France. They upgraded us to the newly remodeled cottage which is very nice and cozy. The next day we biked within the chateau which was very relaxing. The Château is well maintained. Guy picked us up at the train station and was super helpful throughout the stay. Really appreciate it! We will definitely come back next time when we visit Paris.
