The Ice Hotel was a marvelous experience. We did not book the ice hotel room to sleep in but rather went for a day tour around the rooms. All the rooms are so artistically done that it's pure pleasure to go around at one's own pace and marvel at the skill of the designers & sculptors. The lighting and angles...

we stayed here as part of our honeymoon and it was excellent. we crammed a lot into our trip including seeing the Sami and reindeer, dog sledding, visiting the moose safari and snow mobiling. The accommodation was first rate and I even had a great night's sleep in the Ice Hotel itself. If you opt for a cold room, I...

Long on my husband's bucket list, 7 of us arrived for the last week of the season. The icehotel met expectations. It was extensive, stunning with a spooky sort of atmosphere. The highlight is seeing to work of artists who conceive different ice and snow art rooms from edgy to predictably themes. The ice bar with its ice glasses and...

Yes its expensive but its something totally different. We did not stay in the very expensive designed rooms because you can enjoy them earlier when the rooms are open for viewing. We were lucky because we had blue skys, -1 outside and -5 inside! I enjoyed seeing the beautiful bride and groom getting their wedding pictures taken infront of the...

Amazing!!!!!! Expensive - but it is Sweden. The food in the Icehotel restaurant is well presented and very tasty. The staff were attentive and knew their stuff. Definitely worth a visit. Should be on everyone's bucket list!!

The Icehotel is wonderful experience, but it should be noted that if you choose to stay in one of the ice rooms, it is very much like visiting a caravan park, where “communal” living is very much the go. All luggage is stored in a locker within a central reception area, which is a normally heated building. This is also...

Me and my now husband booked this at the end of December 2014, swapped Antigua for snow 😄 crazy you may think but worth every minute. We flew from Manchester to Stockholm then to Kiruna on the monday. Our first flight was delayed by an hour which had a knock on effect to our 2:30 connecting flight. Which ment we...

We didn't stay, just went on the day tour. As well as the official, interesting tour, we were also given a private tour by a member of staff who was polishing signs with a bag of hot water ;) We spent a couple of hours exploring all the rooms, a real sculptural experience, and borrowing a kicksledge. We had excellent...

We didn't stay at the Icehotel but did the tour, thinking it would take an hour or so. We ended up staying three hours. We were completely spell-bound. Forget the sun and sangria of Spain, if you want a different holiday go to Swedish Lapland, see the Northern Lights, and the Icehotel and go on dog sleigh rides. Don't bother...
