We are the home of many different kinds of fish – Whitefish, Northern Pike, Bass, Pickerel (Walleye), Sturgeon, and who knows what else might be living in our fresh waters. Grab a fishing rod, a boat and a friend and spend a relaxing day on our waters. Don’t forget to fire up the barbecue afterward for a delicious, campground cooked meal!
17 of us booked our stay with the meal option. We could not be happier about our experience. Claire made booking easy. The rooms were clean. The food was delicious! - not anything like adventure lodges' usual bland meals. Food allergies were handled effortlessly. Claire also went above and beyond and put us in contact with an ATV guide.

Second time staying at MAC with a large group (34 motorcyclists!). Wim and Claire are fantastic hosts. The food was great (we got the meal plan). Great location for hitting local trails. River view is peaceful. We all look forward to our annual stay there.

We had a lovely 4 days at the Mattawa Adventure Camp on the Ottawa River. We planned to go 4wheeling/side-by-side atv-ing on the local trails. The owners of the camp were very helpful, pleasant and accommodating. They provided us with full dinners, breakfasts and the supplies required to make our own sandwiches for our lunches! The cabins were clean and had everything we needed for our stay. I would highly recommend this adventure camp for others! Wim & Claire even had a pressure washer for our use to clean off our atv's on our return! Claire prepared our meals to perfection and Wim entertained us with his great voice for a few songs in the evenings. What a treat!

Ok, the wifi was a little slow, but really… this isn’t the spot to be needing it. Stunning location, fantastic hosts (Claire is wonderful), the cottage (we were in the big sunflower one) was perfectly clean, comfortable beds, well outfitted, cozy and even had TSN on satellite for the World Juniors. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful ATV adventure weekend running the VMUT for 3 days and this spot was the perfect accommodation! Claire and Wim were the best, looked after everything and overfed us at every meal. Our Petunia cabin was basic, clean and everything we needed. The river view is beautiful and quiet(late October), the beds were comfortable and everything was clean and set up for COVID. I loved our weekend and would pick this over a Westin or Hilton anyday!

We stayed for a couple nights with 6 guys just on a sled trip. The people that own the cabins are awesome super friendly and helpful. The cabins are exactly what you need and everything is provided. Highly recommended from our group easy to get to the trails and I’m sure it’s a cool spot in the summer being right on the river! Thanks again

Prices are extraordinary, at about $100 per person, all inclusive, per day, for a private, waterfront cottage, with verandas & fire-pits,picnic tables, etc. flexible buffet times & total access to more outdoor fun than you could handle in one trip. We stayed in the Tulip Cottage, which was very clean & cozy, had great wifi, satellite & very comfortable beds, bathroom & nice kitchen with every necessity. The meals were 5 star chef- quality buffets with outstanding quality and selection, in a clean and cozy main lodge with unbeatable service, making sure you have everything you need, with all tables facing the Ottawa River. The cabin was warm and cozy with comfortable beds, despite the simplicity, or because of it. The most surprising thing was that we considered taking more time off work, just to stay longer. We will be going back.…

We stayed here last week for 5 days. The camp is incredibly well maintained, with great cabins, comfortable beds, and great hosts! Everything you need for a great ATV trip! Highly recommend the food plans as the meals are fantastic. We stayed in a cabin and will definetly return for another fun week on the VMUTS trail system.

Went for the last night of a 5 day trip in Abitibi. Claire is very welcoming. This spot by the forest and Ottawa River was very beautiful and restful. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The jet tub and coffee in the room were great perks!

I just enjoyed my 3rd stay with Wim and Claire where we used them for our group ATV weekend, they are the friendliest couple and put their hearts into running the place! They also put on one hall of a good meal! Can't wait for my next adventure with them. David H
