Truly one of the most wonderful weekends we have ever experienced at a hotel. This beautiful historic home has been fully restored, providing a full suite, complete with kitchenette and living room in each suite. Rooms are quiet, cool in summer and thoughtfully decorated and Lynee (the host) pulls out all the stops to add special touches to each room for her guests. The rest of the castle includes incredible grounds with ample room for lawn games, bon fires, or gatherings and the interior main floor includes beautiful common areas, including a fully stocked library and comfortable living room. Only a 4 minute walk to a beautiful little waterfall and ten minutes to Port Dover! We stayed at the castle for a family reunion where Lynee truly did not let us lift a finger the whole weekend, catering to and anticipating the needs of 25 people and all of their requests. Coming from a hospitality background and having travelled extensively abroad and spent time in many a hotel I can honestly say her customer service is unparalleled. Thank you Lynee for a truly unforgettable experience.

Following a funeral marking 90 years of life for our mom, Clonmel provided both space and hospitality for our family to decompress, tell stories, enjoy great food and experience service which was both professional and compassionate. We had the place to ourselves, with 6 siblings and many cousins revelling in the luxurious historic space, taking full advantage of the generous grounds, and being spoiled by the attentive, kind, humane staff. Hearty, fresh and delicious food for lunch, dinner and breakfast.

We could not have asked for a better experience. My five siblings and our families were in town for my mother’s funeral, and Lynnee made it her mission to ensure that we had a memorable weekend that we would never forget, and she succeeded and then some. We had the entire place to ourselves for the entire weekend, which included a casual luncheon and sit down dinner on Saturday, and a delicious eggs Benedict breakfast on Sunday. Lynneee went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. The grounds were amazing and we enjoyed playing bocce and a bonfire both nights. The castle itself is remarkable, beautifully furnished and recently renovated. Six suites of varying sizes, some with beds in multiple rooms were all a treat to explore. We all left having shared tears and laughter, and all agreeing that we could not have found a better place to celebrate our home. She would have loved being there to take it all in!

DO...NOT...STAY...HERE! After a pleasant 1 week stay I was informed that I was to leave. Linda and Lee accused me of tampering with their internet. Not having a clue of what they were implying I left. So much for the lovely stay.

This was highly recommended by a friend so we had high expectations. Immediately upon check in we were told that since we were the only guests we would get a gift certificate for breakfast. Imagine our surprise when we were given Tim Hortons gift cards for $30. This was after I confirmed before our stay that breakfast was included. Never been to a B&B that gives you Tims cards. Also, there was no baked goods and fresh fruit 24/7 as advertised. While we appreciated the “upgrade” to a larger room, the towels were musty and the shower head was terrible. We saw our hostess once during our two night stay.

During Covid we could not cook breakfast, provide open items and I agree it was not the same here during Covid. ... Yes breakfast is included however but due to the health and safety rules I could not provide it at this time.... and $30 was quite generous. Let me know if you would like to come back to visit us now that our bathrooms have been totally updated...and are gorgeous and I'll work out a good price for you... thank you for your response.
