The exterior of the Erie Beach Hotel is eye catching with a huge expanse of lawn flanked by well kept flower beds and shrubs. It is a wonderful sight for the eyes. The main advantage is the hotel's proximity to the beach. The room we were assigned was okay but too small. Amenities we are used to in hotels, like mini fridges and coffee makers, were absent. However, staff were nice and there was no problem getting ice. The dining was very good.

Very clean room! Bill at the front desk was super friendly, we called in advance to learn if we could check in early, he could not guarantee, as the housekeeping staff were busy. We asked if we could park then go for a bite... it was a very busy day! We went in to let the front desk know our car tag, and we're told we could havevtge room an hour or so later, and did the check in paperwork right then. After a bite and a walk around, we returned to find the room ready, cool and spotless. Every member of staff were pleasant and friendly, like stepping in to 1950s hospitality where yiu are treated as a guest, not just a customer. We enjoyed our stay so much, we will be returning!

Room was very clean and food in the dining room was excellent but could use alot of insulation in the walls to cancel the noise of the drunks that are up a 4:45 with the tv blaring , slamming doors and sitting outside coughing up a couple of lungs right outside our door…location or not this place is not, by far worth what you pay… as dated a place as you’re ever going to see, including the cove dining room, although the food made up for that…. Would not recommend to stay.

We stayed here in July and really enjoyed it. Staff were helpful and the room was clean, with two comfortable beds. It’s half a block from a popular, sandy beach too. Port Dover has got a lot of nice restaurants and some lovely neighborhoods to bike through. It’s worth a visit, and this is a nice place to stay while you’re doing it.

I am so lucky to have discovered this hotel. Everyone who I dealt with were extremely hospitable and went out of their to make sure my stay there met all my needs. From the kitchen staff who snuck me through the kitchen to get to the front desk, when I got turned around on my arrival. The roof top restaurant staff who were so familure with the menu were able to assist us in our selection from the wide variety that was being offered. We were all extremely happy with the choices we made. The location was wonderful, so close to the .

Cute little hotel in an excellent location. Wonderful staff and service. Hotel is a bit dated and although my room was very clean my tub did not drain at all and my carpet was buckling. Just feel a little TLC is needed. Would stay again as it’s not terrible. Not many hotels to choose from and it’s convenient

As others have posted, staying here is a step back in time. No computer for reservations, you get an actual key for your room with a key tag stating the hotel's name and room number. You also have to use the same key to enter the hotel to access the rooms. The room was decent in size and yes, very dated. However, it was dated in a charming way and was very clean. Despite the age of the room, it felt very homey with no concerns of dirt and germs. Location is pretty much the best in Port Elgin, steps from the beach and many local eateries. A little pricy for what you get but considering the location and it being "prime season" it didn't bother us.
