Stayed 1 night in the hotel in room 8. Beautiful room and decor throughout. Room was very cold though but this was due to the windows letting in all the cold air as they were single glazed. We had an electric heater in the room to keep us warm. Room could have done with a little clean to get rid...

Great place to stay especially if you're interested in historical buildings. The rooms are simple, but cosy and have traditional beds. Excellent location as it's near the railway station if you fancy taking the train somewhere, or walking along the tracks to Whitby. It also has nearby cafe's, I love visiting the Riverside Gardens, just down the road in Sleights,...

Booked this hotel last minute for a weekend away and was pleasantly surprised. Very impressed by the building itself and check in couldn't have gone any smoother. Staff very friendly and helpful. Explained exactly what we needed to do in order to walk into Whitby, which were 2 great walks. The honesty bar is an excellent idea and obviously shows...

First visit as our usual haunts closed for the season. Ancient building - really historic and interesting, lovely gardens. Good breakfast - rooms old style but with modern bathrooms and facilities. Owners and staff friendly and helpful. Will visit again. Second floor rooms good but up steep stairs if this is a problem. Own car park - beware of drive...

This is a lovely hotel, the architecture is stunning and the place is lovely and toastie. The staff are very helpful and friendly however the hotel is in the middle of nowhere at night!! It's just over a mile walk to Whitby during the day, I stipulate this because that walk is through a field and forest...so no lights at...

Loads of atmosphere here in this hotel in a building over 400 years old. Lovely room, great breakfast and friendly helpful owners. This place is in a lovely setting, a beautiful garden where you can sit and listen to the North Yorks Railway train chuffing by! I would definitely come back here and recommend it to other travellers.

Loved our stay here and can't wait to go back. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. This hotel offers excellent value for money. The breakfast was very good with locally sourced meats, top marks for the sausages!!!. The hosts are two of the nicest people you could ever meet as well. The village is a...

Beautiful old building but not pristine, however this added top the experience. The owners and the staff were first class and very friendly. Breakfast was superb. Twenty five minute walk into Whitby and a cab back for less than £8 so all good. We really enjoyed our short break and would recommend Ruswarp Hall Hotel highly.

Ruswarp Hall is a comfortable and clean old property in the village of Ruswarp, with welcoming and friendly staff. It is ideally situated for the Yorkshire Moors and Whitby The room was comfortable, well appointed and warm but if you have a room on the top floor watch out for the low beams. Breakfast was well cooked and plenty of...
