Sue and James are amazing, amazing food. spotless rooms and if you like having a coffee on a deck with beautiful humming birds around you this is the place. Everything is very well planned out in the lodge
A group of friends did a Snowmobile trip into the lodge. Great Hosts, Great Food, Great Accomodations. The area is beautiful. Will difinetly be staying here again in the future. We had some sled issues and the owner was able to help us out in the heated garage to get us back riding on the trails again in the morning.
From the grounds to the lodge, the ambiance is quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views, and luxurious clean and modern amenities. There is a meal plan available for dinner and breakfast and guests are welcome to bring their own bottle of wine or other beverages to dinner. Friendly and attentive hosts. I highly recommend this place.
The main lodge is charming and fantastically comfortable. The location is beautiful, surrounded by woods and the lake. We stayed here for several days while exploring the Zec de Kipawa in our kayaks and it was quite convenient for this purpose. The owners, Sue and Jamie, were gracious hosts and the home made food was delicious. We had complicated dietary restrictions, but Sue was able to cook to our needs providing a great dining experience.
I didn’t know what to expect arriving at Miwapanee. You drive from an already very small town onto a narrow, tree covered dirt road before it opens onto the property. I stayed in the main lodge and it was something special. You can tell how much care and love the owners have for this place. The food is excellent. The property is comforting (bed was great!). The scenery is charming. You could swim in the lake, run along the trail, read by the water, and enjoy the lodge. I couldn’t have asked for more...except maybe an extended stay. This is a great place to spend time away to rest, recharge and rejuvenate with family, friends or even on your own.
This is my second attempt at the review for Miwapanee Lodge and Spa, first time I did not complete the process before it closed. So back to the important stuff, I have been coming to Miwapanee for several years and it is always the highlight of my vacations, from perfect hosts to perfect lodging in beautiful remote cabins it is always with great excitement that we come to Kipawa and it has never let us down, great comfortable lodging makes it fun even when weather is not cooperating. Without any hesitation I would recommend this destination to anyone who loves natue and wants to interact with it in comfort.
had the pleasure of going there Friday nov.23 for a Christmas party. The second you enter the lodge you know that your somewhere magical..Suzanne and Jim our hosts, did a fantastic job decoring this beautiful establishment. You cant help but feel welcomed and in the Christmas spirit.Everything is immaculate and beautifully decorated from from top to bottom..We were then treated to one of the best meals you can ask for..the food was amazing and plentyfull..Suzanne is an amazing cook. My wife had decided to spend the night there..and the room was very impressive..super clean..very comfortable..and were treated to an amazing view when we awoke the next morning..this place has an indoor hot tube eventhough we did not get to use it be cause we had to leave.. our hostess even made breakfast for us..and again we were not disappointed..cannot say enough about this place..its a little out of the way but very worthwhile checking out. altogether just a wonderfull experience. thanks a bunch Suzanne and Jim..hope we can do this again next year…
Spent a week at Miwapanee and it was more than I expected. Your hosts, James and Suzanne, are exceptional and are always available for any need. The lodge itself is outstanding, incredibly designed and welcoming. We stayed in the newly built cottage just outside the lodge and it was the best I’ve ever stayed in. 4 bedroom, each with its own bathroom/shower and satellite TV. Lake Kipawa is simply beautiful and quiet. Great for fishing and swimming, we really enjoyed it. Best part is it is not crowded and noisy like Muskoka, truly is a great place to get away from it all. Highly recommended, would return in a heartbeat.
At the end of a long day of riding you want somewhere beautiful, warm, comfortable that you can have a nice meal at. This is the place. The owners provide you the best service possible and cater to everything you may need. Rooms are large, really clean and super comfortable with the best bedding possible. Lodge is gorgeous with nice hot tub and Sauna. Gas is close and we’ll priced. The trail to the lodge is one of the best out there and always well groomed.
We were on a 5 day sled trip in Quebec, we were in various hotels which were nice but on our last day we booked into Miwapanee Lodge and Spa, what a difference, beautiful log lodge built by the owners Sue and Jamie overlooking the lake, the place was spotless, we all had our own bathrooms and rooms with king or queen beds, the meals, dinner and breakfast, all home cooked by Sue, were outstanding, all in all the most relaxing night of our 5 day trip, not only would I recommend the Miwapanee lodge to anyone, we will be heading back for another stay, apparently the fishing is fantastic
