Awful! I really was hoping I could spend a week here but had to leave because of the terrible and curt service. Would not recommend it. Awful!!! Do not stay! Food was ok but not worth it! Do not go! You will regret it!

You will not be disappointed. The fishing is amazing. The beautiful nature is amazing, both on land and in the water. The staff are by far the best of any place I have ever been. Every single one of them deserve a round of applause! They made this the most memorable trip ever! Nothing negative to say about the place. I hope to return one day. JUST GO THERE!!!!

Well where do I start? As a women who has just turned 40 and have never fished I have found a new hobby! Here is my review of one of the top places I have ever been to in my life: Service: The team at the queen Charlotte lodge are fantastic. You are catered to your every want. The guides on the water make the experience (Thank you Roger and Brian!) Nature At It's Finest: We saw over 30 orcas, humpback whales, dolphins, eagles, bears and of course a ton of fish! Being on the water and seeing all of this amazing nature I have never seen anything like it. Culinary Experience: When you hop off your boat after a day of fishing you go to the bellringer where music, friendly people celebrating their catches and food and beverages. (best fish and chips I have ever had!) we had chef Amanda at our lodge cook us up the best meals I have ever had, filet of beef, pasta with spinach and shrimp, and my favorite a Dungeness crab boil with clams, shrimp, corn and ribs. Need I say anymore? Lodge: the property is beyond beautiful, hot tubs with a view of the ocean, main lodge with every food and drink you can imagine. Trails behind the property and fires going at night to sit and commiserate with your friends about the day you had and the day ahead. All in; I have discovered a new love for fishing and a love for the queen Charlotte lodge! I hope to go back next year. It's on my wishlist for sure! Thank you Queen Charlotte lodge for one of the best trips I have ever been on!

Truly a first class lodge, experience and fishing. Thank you to all the staff and guides for an amazing trip. The food, the people, and the fishing was top notch. As an added benefit we say too many dolphins, Orcas, and humpback wales to count. We even say bears on the beach!

Lets start off with the transportation. They chartered a 737 and a smaller jet to transport all the guests to Masett. Very comfortable ride, easy check in, luggage and all that was taken care of. Once in Masett, they have helijets to take you to the lodge. Enjoy the scenery from the air, its breathtaking. Once you land, they have a full team of staff to take your luggage to your room, the owners Paul and Cindy greet you at first few steps you take. After that, it was a brunch buffet and off we went fishing. If you are a hard core fishing junkie, you definitely want to make sure you have a guide. Our guide was Nate, he was great. He has his little spots where he goes to catch Halibut, Chinook, Coho, Ling Cod, Rock Cod, etc.. etc.. He made sure we got our quotas. We had the more basic boats for fishing, but i would recommend getting the new red boats or the white coloured boats with big cover and lots of seating. Expect to see lots of wildlife on this trip. I saw baldy the bald eagle (he comes to visit when you fish near his home). we had dolphins chase us, whales breach, bears on the beach having a crab feast. I actually recommend, you bring a go pro to film your fishing adventures and perhaps a gimbal.. I used both, i have some excellent videos and photos. Lodging wise - expect to share a room with a buddy of yours or family. Otherwise if you really need your privacy you have to pay a bit more to get your own room. You aren't really spending alot of time in your room at all. You sleep, wake up, fish, come back, shower, go to the Bell Ringer, then to main lodge have dinner, then go sleep. Repeat. Food was excellent, prime rib on my first night. on my second night, chef made an amazing crab boil (alaskan snow crab, dungeonous crab, prawns, beef short ribs (slow cooked 18 hours). on my final night, we had a la carte at the main restaurant and i had beef tenderloiin. for breakfast, you can eat at the main restaurant, of you can grab a breakfast sandwich at the bellringer and hop right into the boat. i would recommend you bring gravol or something for motion sickness. water can be unpredictable and your stomach may or may not like it. bring warm clothes. the staff remember your name, preference for drinks, etc. Its pretty amazing service. For myself, i wish i spent more time at the lodge but this was a fishing trip for me so I spent as much time on the water as I could. as for the rooms, well i only toured the totem house and the main lodge. At the totem house (they had tvs, private washrooms, two queen beds per room), you also get a private chef and meeting areas at the totem house. At the main lodge, I had a downstairs room, it had 3 beds (There was only 2 of us though). The beds are twin size. You have your washroom and shower. No tv though but honestly, I didnt watch any tv this entire trip. There is WIFI on the resort, its strongest at the Bell Ringer and in the rooms. Its a tad weaker at the main lodge. But it'll suffice to log into your video game to check your status, emails, and some news browsing. dont expect to watch youtube or listen to spotify tho. Bring your own tablet loaded with videos to watch. Dont expect cell service at the lodge though, there is none. BUT you do get reception pending where you fish. The lodge does provide provisioning, packing for the fish you catch as well> everything has a different charge. You can also choose to smoke, candy etc your fish as well (separate charge). I had all my fish provisioned and packed, it was so well packaged, its not even funny. There is no ATM on site, so if you want to spend cash, bring your own cash. otherwise they do have credit card machines and such. I like to tip in cash.. so... uh oh...
