Upon arrival at the Millhouse hotel there is no clear entrance to the restaurant. Once we had wondered around we eventually found the empty restaurant. We were disappointed that we were the only ones there! The menu was limited and basic with no specials. Service was slow, food was slow to arrive..... we were the only ones there! My husband...

We booked for Easter Day lunch and it was also my grand-daughter birthday, we have been on several occasions and again the meal was excellent with great service, what more could we ask for!!! It has a lovely relaxing atmosphere and the staff are very helpful. They had a Easter Egg hunt which our grandchildren love, all in all a...

We had our wedding here on the 24th Feb. Super little venue for a small wedding. Staff were perfect, they set up the rooms lovely. Food was lovely. Couldn't have asked for a better day. The bedrooms were nice and had great views over the lake.

Meal was lovely.some areas need a bit of TLc. This is a lovely setting but could use some more care. Toilets really need re-decorating. Tape on the floor and it looks like someone has started to peel the paint off and left it half way through!

Spontaneous outing on Mother's Day, and the Mill House were kind enough to fit us in without a booking. Food was about £20 for 2 course; the vegetables were perfectly done, as were the roast meats. Portions were generous, and the service was good, and our youngest ate for free. Friendly staff, beautiful location. Would recommend

Visited this Saturday afternoon for afternoon tea as a birthday treat. We couldn't have afternoon tea in the conservatory as this was set out for an evening party. We were shown to a small table. No atmosphere. About 30 minutes into out tea background music was being played. On the plus side the afternoon tea was excellent, although the menu...

We stayed for one night - the place is a little old and run down in places and needs some TLC and updating but it was clean and comfortable enough. Had a very good night's sleep in one of the annex rooms, one of the towels in the bathroom was threading around the edges so attention to detail is a...

A variety of puddings avaliable to accomidate most preferences. Friend caught her glass causing it to smash meaning a full glass of wine all over her and the table.. Staff saw from the...

Firstly. Thank you for your review, it's great to get feedback whether it's positive or negative. I was one of the members of staff stood at the bar when your glass smashed however at time neither of us noticed. If I was in a restaurant and I knocked over a glass of wine I wouldn't have sat and waited for...

My girlfriend and I stayed for a long weekend for our anniversary, upon check in we could tell it wasn't a chain hotel but wanted something with character. Beautiful views surround the hotel which were nice to see. We checked in and the very helpful young man at the desk took us to our room. Where as requested they had...
