If you are looking for a very clean, cosy and family run ski hotel you should stay in Hotel Canada Bellamonte. I've read the comments for their kitchen but I wasn't expecting that level. The breakfast was almost perfect but the dinner, I had the most delicious food of the last months, thanks to the cook again. The hotel staff (I believe they are a family) are very gentle and helpful. The rooms are very simple but you have all you need. Actually my room was the most simple single room maybe, there weren't any boiler for tea but not a problem, I brought my travel boiler from home :) there is a pool with hot water and a sauna, starting from 16:00. I recommend you to go there around 16:00 because as the guests are generally families at Feb and at 17:00 the pool becomes a kindergarden :) The hotel is very close the ski area, I went there with my car but also there is a ski bus, so you can take it as well. I want to turn back to Hotel Canada for a spring holiday, to hike around these beautiful mountains! Thanks again!

Spent this Christmas as this delightful hotel situated in the stunning Dolomite mountains. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff are very welcoming and helpful.
One of the best parts of this hotel is the wellness suite with beautiful pool, steam room and sauna, which is an ideal to ease the body after a days skiing or hiking.
There is not much in Bellamonte but a short journey will take you into Predazzo which is a wonderful town with great restaurants and bars.

I must say first that the hotel is in Bellamonte, not Predazzo (Bellamonte being close, but not very close to Predazzo).
Hotel Canada is a splendour of a place. Breakfast is buffet-style, dinner is set menu, but you still have 3 choices for starter and main course you opt for the evening before. There is more than enough at every meal and the variety of food will easily cater for the vast majority of tastes. The staff is very friendly and helped us with a translation of the Italian menu into English.
The rooms are large enough and well maintained, heated adequately for the winter season. Ours had a balcony as well, I can’t say whether all rooms would have one.
The slopes nearby (Castelir) are easily the best blue ones we’ve been on to date. Very long and mildly sloping most of the way.
The hotel owner always bears a smile and will help with all you need.
The one drawback I have to mention is that the hotel doesn’t have wifi in the room. Internet is available only in the main TV room downstairs – it doesn’t reach any of the rooms. The connection in the public area costs – from € 5 for 5 hours to € 10 for 24 hours.
All in all, the price – value ratio is excellent and I give this ratio the 5 stars.

This is the second year in a row that we visit this lovely little family-owned hotel situated quite high (1400 m) between Predazzo (the home of the fabulous Puzzone di Moena cheese, yum..) and Passo Rolle before going to San Martino di Castrozza. The view on all sides is breathtaking. The hotel is in a great position because it is situated just off the road with pine woods all around it. First I have to mention that I have two dogs, and they made absolutely no fuss either before or after, and never charged me a cent for them, like other hotels do. The hotel is family-owned, and the whole family works there (one of the sons is the cook, and, oh, what a cook!). The atmosphere is friendly, homey, without being..invasive, which is perfect for me; nice people that make you feel at home. Great. Breakfast is good, they skimp a bit too much of bread (you're alloted 1 bread roll each and don't ask for more! :-) but fine, there's something for all tastes. Dinner is another story: they give you a choice of three 1st courses, 3 2nd course, there is a great salad and cooked vegetrables bar, dessert. We ordered a beer and sparkling water every evening but were never charged for them, they were included in the price. Not bad at all, and the quality of the dishes was truly great (and I'm a good cook.. :-)
The rooms are not large but have everything we need, including balconies for sunbathing (if you find the time) and for my puppies. We would go hiking every day, there are some amazing walks just close by (a special mention to the Cermis, just 10 minutes away), also leaving directly from the Passo Rolle. In the latre afternoon we would be back and go jump in the pool. My small son especially enjoyed the pool with the special waves (you get to swim against the "current", hard to beat!), then a Tutrkish bath (or a sauna, but we prefer the Turkish Bath), and then a jump under the "Scottish shower".. Very relaxing, lovely holiday, and much cheaper than others I've seen, great for families with children, great if you have a motorbike (how come there are so few Germans around here??), and great if you travel with your dog! I shall certainly be back next year, there's more to explore..

Wow - what a brilliant hotel. The food was incredible - both the breakfasts and dinners. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we stayed over Christmas and they really worked hard to make it special.
The rooms were well appointed and kept so clean (as was the rest of the hotel). We were in a superior family room and it was great to have a separate bedroom area for the kids. It was spacious, the bathroom modern and we had balconies with lovely views.
The wellness area was just what was needed after a long day on the slopes and the new private wellness area was such a treat - a private hot tub and sauna made our Christmas Day just perfect.
It was in a great location - only 5 minutes from the Alpe Luisa ski area or 15 minutes from the Predazzo lift - both serviced by a ski bus route that stopped just outside the hotel.
Would not hesitate to recommend this place - it was brilliant!

Beautiful and comfort hotel, near great slopes park and of nature. Food and service are great. Villages Moena and Predazzo are near and I recommend visiting them.

I warmly recommend. We was there already fife times. It is calm place for relaxing after a day full of sport activities. It is the family hotel with friendly stuff, with great kitchen and wellness zone and nice evening seating in a lobby. Hotel owner ensure to as a small car reparation.
Nearby are four ski centres. Unfortunately it was first time our favourite centre Passo Rolle out of snow. On the other hand, the other centres were perfectly prepared and there was only few people.
