I arrived at Villa Sonia late, at night, due to a mix up with my train reservation from Naples. I had been travelling for 13 hours and I was exhausted and miserable. The taxi trip up the hill had the 'wow' factor needed to lift my spirits and then the warm and genteel welcome from Guiseppi salved my soul. A...

It was a very nice hotel in gorgeous location. The staff were nice, and when we asked them for a nice restaurant, they showed us a spontanious restaurant. The room was roomy and clean, plus the balcony had a very nice view of Etna and the beautiful valley. The balcony was also roomy, with a nice little table and chair....

WE stayed for a week in October, in a DeLux Villa. It was simply perfect! Everything we needed, the villa roomy and stylish with complete privacy provided by a lush tropical garden. Flowers everywhere. The pool is natural spa water and great for an early moring lap or two, and the staff are as friendly and helpfu as could be....

We were badly treated in the hotel and at the restaurant . Firstly; our orders for rare done steaks became well-done. Secondly ;when rare done steaks appeared they came directly from the freezer. Thirdly - our dirty wine glasses were not refilled. Forthly - our night was ruined by diarrhoea and finally; we were not believed by the staff when...

We would recommend this hotel without hesitation. Our room (we were upgraded on arrival) was spacious and well-equipped and had a balcony with a magnificent view of Etna. The room was well serviced throughout our two weeks stay, with occasional charming touches such as a bottle of wine, fruit and chocolates. We ate in the hotel on several evenings and...

We stayed in Villa Sonia for 10 days in Sept/Oct. and from the moment we arrived we experienced a warm welcome from Maria and all the staff. The rooms were spacious, clean and full of character. We opted for a view of Etna and for the extra money it was definitely well worth it. We ate several nights in the...

This hotel really is excellent set in a lovely location. The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them even down to letting us use their own private computer so that we could check in for our return flights. In the main all the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Maria who went out of her way to ensure our stay was a pleasurable one, bearing in mind that the hotel was winding down for the winter. A superb hotel run by a warm and welcoming family who are genuinely concerned for their guests' wellbeing. This friendly, yet, efficient service is complemented by very competent and friendly staff, who, without exception, were extremely efficient, courteous, and welcoming at all times. My wife celebrated her birthday here, which co-incidentally was the same day as the owner's birthday. Despite...
