Stayed here for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year to go scuba diving with king crabs. The room was wonderful and tastefully furnished, with real character. Kongsjford is a tiny place, but is home to some fantastic people. Although the owners were away, I was made to feel amazingly welcome by Margarita (a wonderful lady who works at the...

Currently in Kirkenes after a wonderful two night stay at the Kongsford Gjestehus. As others have commented, the warmth of welcome from Asa and Margarita, combined with the high quality accommodation, delicious home made food and simply stunning surroundings make this a very special place. Walked for four hours around the peninsula and didn't see another person - just the...

This is an incredibly beautiful and peaceful place. The cabins were very comfortable and the hospitality brilliant. A great place to get away from it all and soak up the amazing scenery and wildlife. My visit left me with fantastic memories.

This place is one of the most peaceful places that I've visited. We were there in the middle of winter - a week before Christmas - and we arrived in the village on the bus from Batsfjord not really knowing what to expect. Thrown out of the bus, we were greeted by Trygg who loaded our luggage into the car...

We had a very warm welcome here from Asa and Tryggen. Asa very kindly made us a Blotkake when we couldn't find one in Tromso. It was delicious. Our room was spacious being the disabled room on the ground floor of the little house we stayed in. The underfloor heating was amazing and I had to turn it waay down...

Have just spent 2 nights here with good friends. Have travelled all my life but never experienced anything similar. The nature is just fantastic in good (or bad) weather. I expect Veineset to be a good place for birdwatching, diving and just walking, There were lots of seals svimmimng close to the shore. The rooms in the guesthouse have been...

Our two-night stay at Kongsfjord Gjestehus was arguably the highlight of our 14 day trip to Finnmark. What a beautiful gem, so picturesquely perched on the edge of the fjord across the snow-clad isthmus from Kongsfjord village. Ase, the remarkable owner/renovator, and Margharetha, her able co-hostess, looked after our every need and couldn't have been more hospitable and charming. We...

The guesthouse sits on a small peninsular so visitors have both the arctic sea and snowy mountains to enjoy. In the day we explored the beaches, tried kick sledging (great fun!) and snowshoeing. The scenery is fantastic and there were numerous reindeer nearby to keep us company. Ase, Tryggen and Margerita were so kind and hospitable and the food was...

The Veines peninsula is a great place to explore with varied wildlife and amazing scenery. Well worth...
