Can not recommend hot tub hideaway enough !
We went for our belated 15th wedding anniversary & had a fab night , so relaxed !
We stayed in the north accommodation & it was absolutely gorgeous , spotlessly clean & so warm & cosy .
Janet showed us to our room & explained everything to us , told us about the local takeaways & showed how to work hot tub etc , she told us she was only a phone call away if we had any problems at all . There’s was a bottle of Prosecco chilling in the fridge for us & rose petals scattered on the bed which was a really lovely touch :)
Even though the weather was -3 the hot tub was lovely & toasty .
We can’t wait to book up again !
Thankyou so much for our lovely night away x

The most amazing place I’ve ever stayed.
Janet and Gary are fantastic hosts
The place is a hidden gem!
You feel like your miles from
Home surrounded by beautiful greenery however the city centre is just a short drive away should you wish to venture out,
The lodges themselves are simply stunning and one of the best nights sleep I’ve ever had after a dip in the hot tub if course! You have your own private garden to sit and enjoy a nice glass of wine,
All the little details and touches are beautiful -white robes to wear after your dip, a choice of teas, coffees, hot chocolate etc shower gel, iron, hairdryer you want for nothing, and your complimentary bottle of fizz Waiting for your arrival, the place is immaculate,
A tranquil setting with everything you need to switch off from the world we have been many times and we will continue to do so
If you’re after a luxury break with simply the best hosts, get booking
We can’t wait to come back soon

My partner booked this for 2 nights for my birthday and it was beautiful. The lodge was immaculate! So clean and had everything you need, including a dishwasher. Janet was so friendly and helpful, added that personal touch which was lovely, she also added some birthday banners which was very kind and thoughtful. Very private and all round an amazing beautiful stay. We will be returning and have also recommended to numerous people as we had such a nice stay. Thank you

We were welcomed by a lovely lady called Janette, she made us fell so at ease with her lovely bubbly character.
Chocolate and sparkling wine chilled for us.
The pillows and bedding was the comfiest ever! Like laying in a cloud.
The kitchen was great to use with all the stuff we brought.
I have never felt more relaxed and refreshed, will definitely be back again 💙

We had a lovely relaxing night away. Janet is a lovely friendly helpful lady. The lodge has everything you need for a night along with a complementary bottle of Prosecco for you. The hot tub was all setup ready to use. The whole lodge is private and secluded. We will definitely be back.

Second stay at the stables lodge and the first time everything was faultless. The second time the same great service. All that let it down really was the fact that the Hot tub is no longer private for the garden room the doors have been removed. I wanted a private time together and felt unable to relax. It sounds like a minor thing however compared to last time I felt it did impact on the stay. Other guests walk through the garden and staff are in the lounge opposite. I notice that in the guest book a lot of comments relate to having enjoyed the privacy. I still enjoyed the stay however can't deny I wasn't disappointed and felt unable to relax. Hopefully this will be resolved so it doesn't spoil other people's stay. Sorry to complain everything else was fantastic. Service ..food. comfort. Cleanliness all faultless and high quality.

When we saw all of these unbelievable comments we had to stay there! We must be odd balls as we rated the place at best very ordinary.(sorry)
We had booked three nights in the tartan room, on arrival we were given the "welcome" chat for an hour! we were then told we would be upgraded to the red room free of charge for the next two nights, we thought that was odd,( but I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth.) Our wonderful hosts showed us around the red room as the guest in there had gone out, (we felt a bit uneasy about that.)
The Tartan room was very nice, but had a couple of faults, first thing was the bathroom was built into a cupboard, it was very narrow, when you bent over the sink your posterior touched the double door, the toilet was very noisy and because my wife has limited mobility she could not get into the shower as the door would not open wide enough. The room temp. was very hot, we turned the radiators off, but it was still unbelievably hot, we had to force open a window and were not able to sleep because of it. The T.V. was difficult to watch from the bed as it was in a recess and facing the far wall, the gentleman staying in the red room returned, and we could hear him walking around, we could hear him coughing he sounded as if he was in our room, we turned the T.V. off and spoke in whispers, otherwise no problems, and we are not complaining as we are being upgraded!!
The next night we were in the fab "Red Room" it looked great, a very seductive area, there was a large flat screen T.V. loads of DVD's full unscrambled sky package, including the "Adult" channel. It seemed perfect, but there were a few minor problems, the first one was the sloping walls and ceiling are painted red, which results in you constantly bumping your head, as you loose your perception of depth. I see no one else mentioned this as a problem, so it must just be us.
There was a very ornate bed with decorative ropes hanging down on each side, A small room to the left of the bed contained a fridge with complimentary water, there was also some sort of automatic video recording equipment, probably something to do with the CCTV I would imagine.
There was a very nice double bath, sauna and shower. We too were advised not to go out and eat, but to stay in and enjoy an intimate evening with a takeaway Our wonderful hosts even gave us a free bottle of wine. Sounded very sexy and tempting but we declined. Even though there was no one staying in the room next to us we could hear movement and noises coming from there. The Red room too was extremely hot.
The breakfast menu was one of the best I've ever seen, the actual breakfast was very nice but very ordinary. We were extremely lucky at breakfast, as everyone normally sits around a large kitchen table - forcing small talk amongst total strangers - but there were no other guests, great.
If you are a very sociable person, and don't mind being overheard, like it very warm, and want the bed and breakfast experience this is the place for you. We left early, its not for us.

Barlborough, United Kingdom111 contributions70 helpful votesHi. We are looking at a short romantic break in the UK this year, anyone know of any nice places with hot-tubs for a couple of nights away (Possibly between 6th - 11th July) ? Thanks.
Hi, hot tub hide away in lamesley is fantastic. You get a giant room, very modern, fitted with a kitchen and bathroom and your own private hot tub and patio area and it is all surrounded with high fencing so its all very private.
Hello, they are covered so you get privacy :)
Sorry I can't help, you will need to contact The Stables Lodge direct or go to a booking website and look for availability.
