We had a fantastic experience. Relaxing, calm, friendly, breathtaking views. We could spot some turtles from our room. We also decided to do snorkelling for £1500/ each and it was absolutely fantastic!

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during our vacation in Sri Lanka. The rooms were clean and they included mosquito nets, AC, a fan, and a nice balcony with an amazing view towards the ocean. Very friendly and helpful staff. The best part is that the ocean was super close, so we had the chance to swim several...

As noted, this hotel is in two parts. We stayed in the part to the west and had a great room with a balcony where we could spot turtles. Access to the sea is easy from the private beach and you can wait to join a passing turtle. The beach does flood and there is not much space or facilities...

Room was clean, had working A/C, mosquito net and basic furniture. Service was really great, Ratna (room service person) was very kind, helpful, always happy and friendly. Traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka! Too bad this place was quite far from Mirissa beach, it took about 10 mins to get to Mirissa with tuktuk...

The room was fairly new, 60 US per night, we negotiated free breakfast as it was not included, facilities in the room poorly - almost no lights. Towels and sheets we had to ask for. Early take away breakfast - for those who go whale watching, the only purpose to visit this part of the coast- was almost impossible to...

There are 2 sections to this hotel: the old part, 3 rooms upstairs, 3 rooms down. And the new building - which I haven't stayed in. I stay quite regularly in the original building (I work in Sri Lanka, and often travel from Colombo down south) and love the place, mainly because it is right on its own little cove...

Was there on 13 August and we had made a prior booking for an air con room. Upon arrival, we were told that the air con in the room that was being reserved for us was not working, but they were getting it fixed and our room will be ready by 5pm, We were first put in a temporary room....

Such a lovely place to spend a few nights whilst travelling. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the views of the ocean and beach are so very beautiful. Will definitely stay here again and recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxed, comfortable and enjoyable stay in Polhena!

This hotel has a beautiful location with access to a small sandy privare beach and well-kept gardens. Right on the sea so you can hear the sound of the waves from your room. Good, simple food. Friendly staff. Good value for money.

Don’t book it ever from Internet, you’ll pay twice! At first time, when you’ll book it, at second time, when you’ll come here, because the owner will ask for the surcharge. If you don’t believe me, so you’ll be the next one! It’s better to go here, check the room, then pay, if you want, but I would not recommend...
