We miss Moonracer Farm already! My husband and I stayed at Moonracer for 4 nights and we absolutely loved it. Every part of the experience - from booking, arranging activities, accommodations, meals - was handled with such personal care by Tom, Marge, Julio and Janeth. They really make you feel like a treasured guest and friend. For those concerned about...

We spent eight great nights at Moonracer. We rented an SUV to tour the area, with Moonracer as our “home away from home.” Julio and Janeth and their kids were wonderful hosts. It was much like a homestay experience. We enjoyed the great meals, usually breakfast and dinner. But wow Janeth packs a great lunch for picnics. Sometimes chilly due...

Overall, we had a nice stay at Moonracer Farms. The grounds are very well kept, everything is very quiet, and Julio and Janet's hospitality was outstanding. We rented a car in Belize City and drove ourselves to Moonracer. Our group had 4 people, so we rented the entire cabin, which was nice to have the place to ourselves. We stayed...

Overall, we had a great stay at Moonracer Farm. The place is quiet and quaint. The fact that there is no electricity was a charming draw for us, and surprisingly hardly noticed. The location was great and the food and hospitality were outstanding. We rented a 4x4 Jeep in Belize City and drove ourselves out to San Ignacio. It was...

Believe it or not, we really appreciate this review. A lot...thank you! We also offer our apologies that your stay was disrupted and was less than you anticipated, and that it wasn't what we like to promise our guests. For quite a while, we have had an unwritten policy that families are required to rent the entire cabin. However, in...

My husband and I stayed at Moonracer Farms almost a year ago, but did not have a chance to write a review right afterward because of unexpected and serious illness (not at all related to our trip!). However, today I was thinking back on our time in Belize and I just ached for it – it almost made my heart...

We stayed here for 5 nights in September with our 3 year old. First, let me say that Belize is awesome for families. The three of us all had a brilliant time, and it's so easy - English is the official language and US$ are widely accepted. We rented our own car (2wd jeep) and that was great to be...

I had a fantastic time with Tom and Marge at Moonracer :-) I was there for 3 nights at the end of April on my own whilst seeing a bit of the Belize interior before heading to Caye Caulker. From the time I contacted them to the time I left Tom and Marge were really helpful and easy to deal...

We absolutely agree with Peter's post, whom we actually meant during our stay at Moonracer. We stayed for 6 nights and did a ton of activities, some of which were with Julio and his family ( definitely one of the best parts was hiking in the jungle with Julio and his boys, swinging and climbing on jungle veins and climbing rocks)....

My daughter and I went to Moonracer Farm because of the reviews and we found them all to be absolutely right! We arrived to find the place undergoing a transition. In early August 2013 the American owners, Tom and Marge, moved further into the jungle to work as conservationists on a pine farm. They left Moonracer in the hands of...

“There is only one cabin with two rooms, separate entrances, but close quarters sharing a thin wall between rooms on the inside. They have wifi when they turn it on; it's slow I guess. We didn't use it much. The location is more what it isn't than what it is: natural, environmentally aware, understated brilliance. Look at the guest photos!”

“It is better to take all the lodge if you are a little group or a large family. Sharing the lodge with another couple coulee more annoying since the walls are very thin. This was the only negative point that i can underline.”
