Had such a great adventurous stay at MET. Every day was something new and exciting. We went to Tikal in Guatemala, trecks on horseback in the jungle, kayaking through a cave swiming in a awesome river, and so much more. You'll also learn a lot, the guides are very helpful and knowledgeable. You never have to worry about food. They...

MET will I ever get over you? My stay at MET was not a vacation so much as it was a resetting of my spirit and a cleansing of my soul. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place - it had a profound impact on me and I never wanted to leave. Everything was perfect and...

You were good for my soul. It's always so rewarding to watch as people relax and "cleanse their souls" while seeing and experiencing new things every day. Thank you for your wonderful review. It means so much to all of us at MET.

I can't say much that others haven't already said. We had a wonderful experience in every way. The riding, swimming, caves, visiting Maya ruins including Tikal in Guatemala, etc. were all very interesting and fun. The food was very good. The guides were all terrific and so very knowledgable on many subjects. Learning about their interesting lives was enjoyable and...

Thank you for writing and thank you for choosing MET! I'm so happy you enjoyed the magic of dark quiet star-lit nights and the beauty of the dawn chorus as the birds awaken. I'm glad you appreciated the candle-lit ambiance. Sometimes its nice to turn everything off for just a little while.

MET Belize is a place full of excitement, adventure, breathtaking views and experiences. It is truly an immersive and personalized experience to visit. It is not often I can stay at a hotel, and feel that I have become part of the family, turning a 3 week trip into a 3 month trip. Any birders, this is your hotel. As...

My boyfriend and I only stayed one night and did a one day ride at MET, but I wish it could've been much more! I could've stayed there forever! The Bevis family took great care of us, especially Arran and Alyson, both while we were staying and on our way back to Belize City! The rooms are wonderful! Very cool,...

This is a blissful place: off the grid; in the jungle; built the way the Maya have been building for centuries ..... and the Maya knew what they were doing which means that you don't need air conditioning since the heavy thatch roofs keep the heat out of the rooms and air is continually moving through the windows ..... When...

Hadn't been to MET for about 8 hours and our return was absolutely delightful. The extended Bevis family is genuine and relaxing to be around, the food delicious and the cottage clean, cool and relaxing! The potato pone dessert, and that breakfast beans cooked in coconut oil were wonderful! Great how they serve all local drinks including Arran's aged craboo...

Loved every moment of my recent stay at MET except for the part where I had to leave and come back to reality! The food was plentiful & fabulous! The cabana was exactly what I expected. It is the jungle after all. It was cozy & decorated well with fresh flowers on the pillow, & mosquito nets which we did...

Staying at MET is like staying with a family rather than staying at a resort. You will join the Bevis family for breakfast and dinner every day. The family included the grandparents who founded the lodge, the adult age children, and the 3 young grandchildren. Food was homestyle cooking - not gourmet, but I enjoyed the food - and the...

I loved my time at MET. I was travelling alone and enjoyed the family meals, which were absolutely delicious. They kindly provided me with a room that was atmospheric and affordable. “This is not a traditional hotel, but a ranch with a cantina and a handful of cabanos, or bungalows.”

“Cottages are basic but clean and nice. No air conditioning or electricity but during our stay we didn't need it. Beds were fair, clean but not as comfortable as many. Windows & porch views are worth a mint. Rooms are lite with kerosene lamps - so harder to read by with bugs who are attracted to the lights. Not a place where you live in the rooms anyway because there is so much to see outside!”

“The casitas have en suite bathroom/shower, each bed has a mosquito net. Very roomy. These are open air rooms, so some "wildlife" may join you, such as some very cool insects. All the casitas are nicely secluded and a short walk to the main meeting area. Nice porch with chairs. Can't say that any of the casitas are "better" than any others... all are quite nice.”
