Mariposa was a delight from the minute we were picked up from the airport. Sharon and staff bent over backwards to accommodate our every need and make sure we had an excellent experience exploring the Cayo District. Perhaps the best measure of professionalism- they made it look easy. Food and cabins were excellent, by the time we left we felt... More

My family had the pleasure of staying at the Mariposa Jungle Lodge this December, 2012. We all had a fantastic time, and enjoyed our stay. While the lodge is not perfect in everything category, the overall atmosphere that they have created provides visitors with a warm, family-like feel. We all would return for anoher visit. The important categories to me... More

I did a lot of research before my trip to Belize. After a few days at San Pedro Island (which I would not bother with unless one enjoyed scuba/diving) we headed inland to the jungle! I am a planner and control freak so I basically had pre-arranged my entire itinerary before getting to Belize. I wrote in to the staff... More

We recently stayed at Mariposa Jungle Lodge while traveling with friends through Belize. Our experience was much more akin to being houseguests than lodgers. Gracious owners Sharon and Jim and their accomplished staff made every effort to ensure we were all well taken care of. We had scheduled activities everyday, and no matter where we needed to be or how... More

We staid at Mariposa at the end of November 2012 for 4 nights. My husband and I were traveling with 2 other couples. We all had various requests and needs (food allergies, etc.), and the staff at Mariposa made sure all of this was handled with ease. We arrived to meet our driver at the airport. The road to the... My wife and I, and two other couples, recently stayed 4 nights at the Mariposa Jungle Lodge, and we would all go back in a heart beat! The professionalism of service was top quality and consistent in everything from the initial emails and reservations, to the organized adventures and hospitality. I am gluten-free, and they were more than willing to... More

Everything I have to say about this place is positive. My boyfriend & I recently stayed here for 6 nights and loved every minute of it. The landscape is beautiful and the cabanas are very charming and comfortable. I thought the porch-like room was a very nice touch. We spent some time there every night to talk about the adventure... My husband and I just returned from Belize and stayed at Mariposa for 3 nights. I would hands-down say that this was our most unique and personalized lodging and we have travelled to almost all of the central america countries but 2. We were there for 7 days and every one of them were great, the driver was there and waiting when we got to Belize with cold water and a smile, and it stayed friendly the entire time. This was my first trip to Central America and Belize. I traveled with a friend and stayed at Mariposa for the first 3 days of our 5 day trip.
