I have stayed here several times because the hotel is close to the company I work for. Otherwise this is an average hotel with small rooms. Now they have started charging 45 Euros for an early check in (I arrived at 11:15am, check in time is 3:00pm), which is about 50% of the daily room rate. In many years of business travel I have never experienced this. Hotels have usually been very happy to accomodate me if they had a room available, especially when I arrived tired from an international flight - as was the case today. So from now on I will avoid IBB and go back to the lovely hotel in Mainz that is happy to have me early without fee and where rooms are so much nicer.

Dear guest, thank you for your review. We hope that you still enjoy your stay. We are happy that our front-office team and the housekeeping have offert you eary check-in after a fully booked day before 12.00 o´clock, that you can stay nearly 4 hours longer in your room. At every till you can store your luggage at a room next to the reception, if you do not like to pay for a early check-in or late check-out. Your IBB Hotel Ingelheim

Stayed here on a business trip in Ingelheim. The hotel is easy walking distance to the train station and the centre of town where the majority of restaurants are located. Breakfast at the hotel is good. The rooms are clean and tidy and modern with the bed comfy at the end of a long day.

The hotel is conveniently located in the modern part of town, just a few minutes away from the train station. The surrounding area is not very appealing, unless you came to enjoy Asian take-away and Kebap places. Upon arrival, the hotel makes you pay your entire stay upfront, which I find both uncommon and inappropriate: Instead of just a deposit they charge you the full amount, even though you have not yet caught a glimpse of anything. They may have their reasons though: Rooms are tiny, the safety box looks like it has seen the 1960s and doesn’t provide sufficient space for even just an iPad, TV would for no obvious reason turn off while watching, and there was neither soap nor shower gel in the bath room dispensers, and housekeeping wouldn’t bother to replinish either. If you wish to have a drink, forget mini-bars (cos they don’t exist), but there is a noisy fridge in the downstairs lobby offering beverages. Other than that, facilities are relatively limited: The gym is a joke, and there is literally nothing but a step machine and a few lousy weights. There is no hotel parking garage, but direct access thru the lobby to a public garage, which looks safe and is not too expensive. Breakfast? Nothing special, but fair enough (buffet of hot and cold dishes, all types of hot drinks, everything self-service).

Dear Synonymus Maxpowder, thank you for your very detailed review. It's true the hotel is placed in the middle of a new built district with fast food restaurants, shops, regular restaurants, congress and event hall, etc. We are sorry if our housekeeping was not so observant, but if you had told us this at your stay, we had the chance to help you in soap thing. The treadmill in the gym is under repair and we are thinking about the offer in this room at the moment. Thank you for your suggestions. We offer a selection of regional wines and other drinks in our restaurant and the bar on 4th floor. If you wish, we serve this in your room for an additional price. Please contact our front-office team next time.

Hotel feels light airy and open with a nice restaurant on the 4th floor which has quite nice views. Very handy for BI as it is a 10 min walk. Food in the restaurant was very nice, freshly prepared and very good value
