This place is ok if you want budget. I would not really recommend for families, even though we stayed as 2 adults and one child. It was ok for what is was. A bit noisy. The shower was tiny and a shared one. I expected a little bigger. Close to main road, not good for parking if you have a...

We had decided to spend 7 days in the area so booked 7 nights in Lamrock lodge , we understood it was a hostel not a hotel but we had some beautiful hostels in the way down the coast so we were not too worried , we arrived very early but they said the room should be ready to continue...

I've been staying in Lamrock for the past 4 months and it has been amazing! Everything is clean, the staff are very friendly especially Laura (manager) and Jack (night security). I would highly recommend staying here! Just a short walk from the beach, shops and restaurants. I've made life long friends staying here and it has given me the best...

We paid 444$ to stay here for a week in a private room and I'm so disappointed. The few bathrooms they have (I found 4 single bathrooms) are all dirty ALL THE TIME. There is a coin under one of the seats at one of the toilets and it's been there for several days, indicating that it hasn't been properly...

The management are rude and aggressive (physically and verbally), the kitchen is almost non existent and there is nowhere outside to hangout after 9pm due to them closing off the courtyard at that time. There is no alcohol allowed on premises, which means that you can't even have a quiet drink if you wanted to.

This is a lovely hostel with friendly staff! I would definitely recommend! It is only a minute walk from the beach with good sized rooms in dorms as well as private (stayed in both) and great for long term stay! Sociable hostel would happily stay again!

Stayed here for almost two weeks and really enjoyed it. Everything was kept clean throughout the day and rooms were comfortable. The staff were really friendly especially the manager she made sure we were always happy throughout. The location was perfect being only 1 minute walk to Bondi beach. Recommend to anyone.

One of the best hostels I have been too. It's clean and has many bathrooms. First hostel which has a clean kitchen and is fully equipped. It is only a 1 minute walk to the beach and public transport and the high street. Best location for a great hostel. Great price, Would highly recommend.

Staying in Bondi Beach

Neighbourhood Profile
Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
