This is our 3rd visit back to Lamrock. If you are looking for a budget hostel but don't fancy sharing with 6-12 people then this is the place to stay. It's perfect if you are on a working holiday, its quiet at night and everyone is pretty respectful of each other. The rooms arent the Ritz, however they are clean...

Lamrock does what it says on the tin! Budget accommodation, clean and tidy. Very friendly staff. Laura will help you with anything. It's a quiet hostel, which is good when you're working. Plenty of showers so you never have to wait. Kitchenette and sink in room too. Have stayed a few times now, it has become my home from home....

Comfortable beds, TV's rooms, warm showers and great location! Well worth a stay if on a budget. Stayed in mid winter and the rooms are warm compared to other hostels in the area. Staff are nice, was given free food by the lovely Russian cleaners!

As far as hostels go, this one is pretty ok. My fiancé actually stayed there for 4 months straight before I joined him out there (although we did only stay there for 3 nights) and it's honestly fine! This is a HOSTEL not a 5* hotel and you're certainly not pay for that either! The location is really good. I...

This was one of the better hostels we stayed in while in Sydney in the summer, it was very close to the beach which was the best part about it, the rooms were fairly clean we had a 4 person room which was a nice change from Sydney's usual 12-16 per room. The only real negative part was how hot...

Although, ideally located at few steps from the popular beach, hotel itself was terrible , with rooms small , cramped smelly and linen very old. I had arrived from Canberra late in the night so had to stay any way other wise could have cancelled it. Check its reviews at hostel-booking, they are not also good. Always look at the...

I'm not a backpacker so I can't really compare this hostel to others around Oz, but I'm happy our stay was just a 1 night stay. Room was pretty dirty, so dirty that I preferred to use our own bedding, just to be safe. Toilets look like a caravan's toilet. I wouldn't suggest to have a shower there. Pretty noisy...

Staying in Bondi Beach

Neighbourhood Profile
Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
