We had need for short stay accommodation in Eastern Sydney and found the Ultimate Apartments a great solution to our needs. It is not 5-star accommodation but neither is the price - in fact it was very good value for Sydney. One of the nicest...More
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 10 days starting off our world trip, the location was great, walk straight to the end of the road and Bondi Beach is there, you have your own cooking facilities(it's a portable cooking hob) which looks weird but...More
We have stayed here twice before especially since the destruction of our favourite Swiss Grande. Bondi Beach is one of the only famous beaches in the world that no longer has a large hotel/resort on the beachfront so thank heavens the Ultimate Apartments have survived....More
Great budget accommodation in expensive Bondi. Lu-Ann and the other staff on reception are incredibly helpful and the former army barracks accommodation is clean, secure and convenient for beach, bus-stops, shops and eating places. The laundry room is very well equipped.
But don’t expect anything...More
This place was absolutely disgusting. Their website is, in my view, very misleading. We were in town for a family wedding and booked for 4 nights but left after two - we would have left after one night but the wedding was the day after...More

An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from
Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.

Hi Julie! Excellent choice for heading to Sydney in October. You'll absolutely love it, and the weather will be on point! But yes, as you say I too believe you are worrying over nothing haha. If you are arriving that late, it may pay to flick management an email and arrange something for your late arrival. But having said that, they do have a buzzer for after hour access. I'd recommend contacting management, shouldn't be an issue. Hope this helps, and enjoy your trip!

Sorry I have answered as if you are going from airport to bondi. either way, bus 400 goes from airport to bondi and return. alternatively other buses from main promenade in bondi to bondi junction then a train to airport, both would be cheaper than a shuttle or taxi unless there are a few of you. buses and trains are very regular.
