I have stayed at this property a few times and I realize that the hardships the hospitality industry has faced the past 2 years due to Covid but I did find the rates this trip quite substantially higher. The staff have always been very professional and there to serve and provide great customer service. The location for me has been quite good and in some cases I have had to travel a bit which is worth the drive when compared to the competition in the market area.

I had the pleasure of staying for three nights at this establishment, and I must say, the experience was exceptional. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the staff exhibited an exceptional level of professionalism and friendliness throughout my stay.
The comfort of the beds was truly noteworthy, ensuring a restful sleep each night. A highlight for my children was the pool, complete with an exciting water slide. This amenity not only delighted my kids but also afforded parents like me a well-deserved moment of relaxation.
If I were to offer any constructive feedback, it would pertain to the pricing when I inquired about extending my stay by one additional night. Unfortunately, the cost for the extra night was approximately 40% higher than what I had paid for the previous two nights.
On a positive note, an added bonus is the fantastic ice cream place conveniently located next door. It's a definite hit with the kids and adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience

We booked a 3 night stay at this hotel to attend a family wedding. Just prior to the ceremony on day 1 of our stay, one of the guests in our party suffered an acid reflex incident that caused them to vomit on the carpet. They cleaned up the small mess and although humiliating they thought the responsible thing to do was to call housekeeping so a proper cleaner could be used on the floor. Housekeeping used a bucket to clean the carpet and left towels on the floor to absorb the water. When I checked out 2 days later the hotel had charged me $250 plus tax for this cleaning service. This is a ridiculous fee to clean a 1x1 square of carpet and 20 min of a housekeepers time. The owner stated this was a standard fee to steam clean the carpet. The carpets had not been steam cleaned. This was an unavoidable incident and it was not disclosed that I would be charge this excessive fee, The hotel does not offer daily housekeeping so enjoys cost saving measures on housekeeping already. The owner claimed, that a towel that had to be replaced as nail polish had spilled on it, would also be included in this fee. I was charged this fee before the nail polish came to light and I'd been more than agreeable to pay a replacement fee for the damaged towel. However that incident would not have occurred if the toilet had been bolted to the floor and did not wobble back and forth when one sat on it. This is what caused the nail polish to fall from the tank and spill on the towel. I think it is terrible the owner profits off the humiliation of her guests and the experience has tainted what would have been remembered as an amazing celebration and time spent with rarely seen family. I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere.

Each guest signs off on the hotel policies at time of check in. That includes charges for excessive cleaning , damage and loss of hotel property. Housekeeping staff reported emesis extending from the nightstand to the end of the bed such that they could not clean it up without using the steam unit. I have surveyed the video footage and in fact the steam unit was taken into that room. Towels were laid on the floor to assist with the drying of the carpet considering this was still an occupied room. The toilet that you suggest was insecure was checked by our plumber post checkout and not found to have been ill fitting. Further adding to the charges for this room was a bath towel with an excessive amount of nail polish that deemed it not recoverable and that items was discarded as a result. Polish was also discovered on the bathroom floor tile and wall which again had to be removed. Housekeeping staff deal with an incredible amount of guest room cleanup which they happily take care of and overlook many rooms that would cause them extra work. In this case the loss of merchandise i.e. towel and the excessive cleanup from bodily fluids requiring additional time and care deemed this a chargeable event. I appreciate and understand how frustrating this is Vicki however we do try to do our best to ensure each room is taken care of properly for the next guest staying. We appreciate your understanding from this side of the operation.

I booked reservations for this hotel wks & wks ago. It was a HUGE problem and inconvenience to do so in the first place. I am a diamond member & wanted to use points. I feel like these smaller location hotels just don't want members using points as they loose revenue or something? I was informed this hotel only accepts a minimum 2 night stay, ok fine, we'll make a wknd of it. I contacted BW via the 1800 number to book & was told I needed to contact the location directly, contacted the location, they confirmed they did have availability but couldn't book it directly because I was using points &I had to call the 1800 number back to book. We were planning to stay the two nights as fav brewery is in Lacombe but now I have to be out of town for work Monday. I called the 1 800 number to change, they couldn't change it & told me to contact the hotel directly. I contacted the hotel manager who was rude when I requested to change it to 1 night. She informed it was a 2 night min & that she would just cancel it. She wasn't even willing to listen or work with me. I didn't want to cancel it. I just wanted to stay the 1 night. There was no "lets see if we can offer you a different wknd where we can book you 1 night. Nothing. I stated, I have all these points to use and can't seem to use them as I would wish. Jack, the manager was rude and didn't seem to care at all that I needed to make this change. Lacombe is a very small town and I doubt they have been booked to full capacity every wknd this summer and now going into the fall....Maybe I'm wrong, maybe they are.... but I doubt it.

Tammy, It is obvious how disappointed you are that you are unable to stay at the hotel this coming weekend to enjoy all this city has to offer. Most guests that do stay have glowing reports of not only the property but comment regularly on how friendly the staff is. As you have pointed out, all free nights must be booked through Best Western Central reservation rather than hotel direct. This process ensures that points are allocated appropriately. Only a small portion of hotel inventory is set aside for free night stays each night. Originally your booking met the booking rules for the weekend however once you decided that you wanted to cancel a night you no longer met the criteria and we were unable to make adjustments to your reservation. On any given dates, which typically represents very high occupancy levels, we have booking restrictions in place. This particular weekend is one of those occasions where in there is a 2 night minimum length of stay required. Anyone wishing to stay must meet this restriction. You made the decision to cancel the full reservation based on this information and there was no conversation to rebook on a different weekend. Once again I apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused and hope that you can enjoy our city on another occasion.

Our family recently spent 2 nights at this hotel with a total of 5 rooms. During our stay I heard many compliments regarding the hotel and no complaints. The hotel and rooms are very clean and the king room we had was very spacious. Beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was good with friendly staff working diligently to ensure the breakfast area was clean and well stocked. I found the price to be very reasonable. We did not use the pool or fitness centre. Hotel is easy to find.

The hotel is in great shape. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast staff are friendly and attentive, and the hot food menu changed each day. The front desk and management went above and beyond to accommodate us when we were in a bind. Highly recommend this hotel!

Excellent hotel , modern clean and the customer service is 10/10. Thank you Cody and Jackie for going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect .From the moment we walked we were welcomed so warmly by Cody at reception, thank you for going the extra mile to ensure we got a lovely room and for being so gracious to my 6 year old son Caleb . He was most impressed by the lollipops you gave him and telling him that the pool with the slide was open . You have made our trip and stay memorable especially to the children . Jackie you were just a God send thank you for taking time from your busy day just to come chat with us and ask how we were doing . I was really touched by you providing us with a life jacket for the little boy .Breakfast was served with a loving smile and warm reception by the lady in the dinning room and she took time to make sure we had a variety of items to choose from . I would love to come back to your hotel very very soon

Rooms are clean and inviting though beds are quite firm. Excellent selection of breakfast options! I especially appreciated real hot oatmeal with a variety of fruit options! Also, important for our family is to have gluten-free and dairy-free options. There were several and so everyone was able to enjoy a delicious breakfast! Due to room demand for hockey tournament prices were high for the town.
Terry, who worked in the breakfast room was truly wonderful! She demonstrated such kindness and respect especially to the young kids; mostly pre-teen boys. She remembered guests and what they needed from morning to morning. She is a treasure to have and hope that she knows this!

Honestly one of the best hotels we have stayed in for a group booking (hockey tournament). The hotel looks great and was clean. Jacquie, the GM ensured everything was arranged in advance so that the teams each had specific times for the pool and breakfast area and communicated this schedule with the other hotel guests. As a result, everything went smoothly.
