Classified as a 4-star hotel; how is this possible? Beach facing room cost 1500 rand. Nice enough comfy beds and bathroom, and that's the sum total. No brochures in the room marketing the hotel or area. Room service options very dismal, and only provided by the antiquated Spur restaurant. Housekeeping ridiculously charges 25 rand for ice!! Service very mediocre, despite...

My family and I were on a road trip and fortunately when we wanted to rest we were in Port Edward. We followed the signage to Wild Coast Sun Hotel and they were fully booked for the December Holiday. The reception desk asked us to wait for an hour in case there were any booking cancellations. Within an hour we...

You can't come back to a good place turned bad to recreate old memories. I remember when the wild coast sun had a big casino, great restaurants and wonderful atmosphere....just a drive away from Durban was like having a holiday in a foreign country. It's not the same...

This is a nice getaway as it's only 1hr30min drive from Durban. Very good hotel with average service. Restaurants are limited. Casino on the premises. Rooms are great and priced good. Highly recommended.

Dinner in the casino eatery (Chicos) on first night not edible (over cooked buffet left stewing for hours, very limited selection), reception staff argued with us on check out as we did not want to pay for food we could not eat. MVG card did not work to obtain promised complimentary soft drinks despite several attempts to resolve. MVG member...

Rude staff everywhere. Horrible equally unfriendly restaurants, we waited for over an hour for food at the Spur, with no explanation. We woke up to no hot water, without any notice whatsoever from the hotel as to what's happening. The noise levels at the hotel are ridiculous. You wait forever for lifts, hotel needs maintenance. We stayed one night only,...

I would not recommend the facility to anyone. The place is in an awful state and judging from the antiquated manner in which it is managed, it is no surprise. The only facility that offers an inkling of pleasure is the Wild Waters park. Outside of that, it is an awful mess. The Ten Pin bowling does not function efficiently,...

We visited the Wild Coast Sun over a quiet weekend in Jan - buy quiet, I mean that most of the holiday-makers had started to make their way back inland. We visited the Casino, the Water-park and the activities area on the river and all were loads of fun. Unfortunately we did not walk away with millions, but a good...

Arrived on the 02nd of January and the place was overrun by drunk misbehaving people. The car park was no more than a toilet, The stench of urine and the dirt around was just disgusting. It was apparent that there was a shortage of security staff or staff just not doing their job. A very poor image of how an...

Visited Wild Coast Sun Resort and Casino on the 2nd of January 2017 for the fourth time. To our amazement the resort is not on Sun International standards anymore ! The only friendly staff member was the person who assisted us at the MVG counter ! Very unfriendly staff that just needs you to leave them alone !! The Casino's...
