We didn't actually stay at this lodge but ended up eating here and it was a great meal. After our zip lining adventure we decided to take a drive down the road to vista verde lodge. The view of Arenal and the surrounding country is fabulous. I guess there is a waterfall you can walk to but we ended up...

We didn't actually stay at this lodge, which we regret, but we ended up here as we got lost in the Monteverde area. We saw a sign at the bottom of a long gravely, remote road, and stopped to ask if there were any hiking trails nearby. I'm not sure if he was the owner, but someone came out and...

Our goal was to see the country and were warned about the rough road. It was great to be at the "end of the road" and enjoy the real rain forest. The clouds lifted just after our arrival mid-afternoon and we could see Volcan Arenal! The children were thrilled. the meals were good, too.

The owner, Eulogio, and his family are such lovely people; so welcoming, hospitable and hard-working. Yes, the road to get to there is long and bumpy and the accommodation is a little tired and damp - but that’s what you get from being in a cloud forest! The view of Volcan Arenal and Laguna de Arenal is stunning and the...

We spent three nights here (including New Year), and while it is extra effort to get to the lodge we did not regret our decision - the road to the lodge is partly unpaved (this is for road safety and longevity in this rainy area), but just keep on driving into the clouds! Once you arrive, you will feel like...

The place is beautiful. One of a kind. Very different to many other hotels. This one is a self sustained hotel. It is eco friendly. Powers its own electric system through hydro energy. It harvest its own produce, therefore the food is always fresh. It is highly recomendable

We stayed at the vista Verde lodge for two nights. When we arrived it was a proper rainforest experience, stuck in the clouds. We had an amazing dinner and when we woke up the next morning the view on volcan arenal was breathtaking. The breakfast is delicious, the best banana pancakes I had in Costa rica with the best view....

This rustic place is off the beaten path. It is not a Hilton property. If you are looking for a spa experience you should probably go somewhere else. If you like a bit of adventure and would rather hike in a cloud forest then this place is for you. The view of the Arenal volcano and lake, if you're enveloped...

When we visited, a series of storms had Monteverde soaked for days. The family running the place was very nice. The hotel itself was decent as was the food. The room had no heat and due to the storm it was very cold. This is a great place for Eco-tourists to visit. The facility is powered by four generators powered...
