We were very impressed with the beautiful room with a great view and patio by the lawn. It is spread out, but with one call a shuttle is there to take you anywhere on the property. The breakfast they provided was the best we had in all of Costa Rica. This place is so much a higher class value than...

Stayed at this hotel for an evening. Received a friendly greeting from the front desk / reception. Explained the property, along with providing a map of the property. Stayed in room 531. The pictures provided on this site are factual. The building is located near the restaurant. Had a wonderful dinner at Laggus had coconut shrimp & ceviche. Thought it...

The room was LARGE, two floors, king sized beds. The bathroom had a large tub and shower, sinks, mirrors, all beautifully tiled. the surrounding grounds were well planted, groomed to perfection, and peaceful. Our stay included breakfast which consisted of almost anything you could imagine. Fresh fruits, eggs, rice and beans, muffins and all sorts of pastries. The staff was...

This hotel is one of the few in the area which can handle large tour groups. Consequently tour operators have few options and the level of service is not good. The hotel consists of a series of buildings going up the mountain, and therefore shuttle service is required to get from the room to the dining room and reception. At...

We didn't have any problems during our two night stay here. The bedroom was large and clean and well furnished with amazing picture windows. The lodges themselves were rather spartan and somewhat echo-ey due to the stone floors but this was OK. We ate one evening meal and two breakfasts here and they were fine. The setting of the lodges,...

This hotel is beautiful and the room we stayed in was adequate, however the service we received was poor. We arrived with our luggage and nobody helped us until after about 5 minutes and it was pouring with rain. We asked the reception if we could check in early bearing in mind it was low season and he said no....

Stayed for 2 nights in the 500 rooms. Long way to lobby and front area. Rooms are decent with poor lighting like everyone else mentioned. No wifi unless in common area but you still need a password at the bar. Randall, bartender at Laggus (bar area) lied to us about the wifi being down when a few mins later he...

Recent trip to Monteverde Costa Rica. Very attentive staff, with a facility fully integrated with good food, night hike, cloud forest and zip-line activities. Full transport services. Very friendly atmosphere, and beautiful location. Would suggest signing up for guided tour services, since this really provides for a much fuller, very well informed and fun experience. Our guide for both the...

This hotel was good, clean and had a nice view. I was there during spring break (their busy season), so there were a lot of large groups there and we all lined up for breakfast at the same time. It is important to note that there might be a line for breakfast, so you can plan your time accordingly.

We stayed here and were a bit skeptical before arriving. This hotel is great! No A/C but didn't need it, as it cooled off nicely in the evening. With its location, you have ample opportunity to go into the town to experience some of the cuisine and sights. Our room was near the reception area which makes it easier for...
