Nice hotel for teens, rooms with 2 kings, so each teen had plenty of space. Not fancy, but comfortable and convenient for quick stay. Locally owned and family operated, they had good service. We had pickups planned for hiking Monteverde Cloudforest Reserve and Selvatura zip lines(both great). Breakfast was quite good, and started early enough that we benefited. Dinners were...

This has to be the hardest working staff I have ever seen. Even during the Christmas fun, they were always there, running around to help and in good spirits. The rooms were clean and the cabins that we were in had a good view. The kids loved the lofts and we sat on the porch and watched clouds go whizzing...

We spent one night here after zip lining in Monteverde. The staff had to drive us to the rooms as they were quite a distance from the lobby. The rooms were adequate, but not the type we had enjoyed on the rest of our trip. The bathtub was too high to get comfortably in and out. Also there were issues...

The hotel looks almost like a Swiss chalet from the outside, but is located by an intersection with heavy traffic, which spoils some of the charm. The rooms are ok, although the beds were quite uncomfortable. The breakfast is included and is really good. The same cannot be said about the bar or the restaurant where we had dinner one...

The rooms are clean and cozy and beds are very comfortable. The service overall was great. The bathroom is clean but cold!. For some reason the jacuzzis were not working. 3 different breakfast options, i just wished the breakfast was offered until 11am for a late sleep haha!

I stayed at this hotel several years ago, sharing a large, wood-panelled room w four fellow social workers. We enjoyed our stay there a lot -- easy access to the cloud forest reserve, wh was the reason for our visit. Many wonderful adventures nearby! It's true that the hill was steep, and looking down I saw a rainbow! The hot...

Heliconia Hotel was great for setting you up with any local needs you may have needed. You could book anything you wanted in the area through this hotel and you were picked up and dropped off by that same company. The service was good but the hotel in general was not my favorite. It felt very "campy." The rooms were...

We stayed there for 2 nights, it was our cheapest hotel in our stay in Costa Rica but the best experience. We were upgraded to a small house in wood. The small house included a huge bath tube and the best shower I have ever seen in a hotel. The staff was great to advise us good attractions. The breakfast...

We stayed at the Heliconia for 3 nights as part of a pre-arranged travel package on our holiday in Costa Rica. The staff were extremely helpful and they also have connections to arrange a number of really good activities and excursions. Our room was clean and reasonably sized - all acceptable and reasonable for the price paid. It's also a...

We had a booking with Heliconia and ended up staying elsewhere. Monteverde is beautiful as were the grounds at Heliconia. However, our short stay went sour quickly. It took them the longest time to check us in like they forgot we ever had a booking with them, at least we received a small complimentary cocktail afterwards. We finally received a...
