We stayed in one of the large cabin style room higher up the hill. Very large room, excellent shower, huge bath and extra beds on a mezzanine floor. Good views too and wildlife to see outside your door. We were a small group who occupied several of these rooms. It was nice to meet up and watch the sunset with...

Rooms situated on various levels on a hillside- beware of this if you have mobility problems. Nice large rooms -the higher up the hillside obviously the better views. Breakfast fairly poor to be truthful and staff not as friendly as other places we visited. You must visit restaurant Don Luis opposite.

The Heliconia is on various levels up the hill, we were fairly close to the bottom, so convenient for restaurant & reception and therefore wifi as rooms didn’t have wifi. Reasonable breakfast. Rooms OK. A 15 minute walk down hill into town, best to take a taxi back. Perfectly adequate place to stay, but to be honest didn’t spend that...

stayed in the honeymoon style cabins, which were roomy, remained quite cool too. nice big shower negatives: if you have difficulty walking, be careful of this hotel and let them know in advance as some of the rooms are quite a long walk away. disappointing breakfast

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but receptionist was friendly and helpful. We were in a room at the top of the hill and a shuttle was offered for our luggage. No view unfortunately. The restaurant was not serving pizzas as we had been told they would and was closed for lunch. Breakfast was limited and personally we did...

The further up the hillside you go the better the views. We spent a lot of our time gazing at the Pacific. Be prepared for lots of climbing. The food was rather poor and seemed to deteriorate after an American group left. The drink served with breakfast tasted like bubblegum.

Lovely hot...

Our room in the 400s was spectacular, high ceiligned cabin style with extra accommodation on the mezzanie level and large corner bath in the bedroom. We had wonderful views from the verandah and saw more wildlife there than we did on the crowded cloudforest trails. It is a bit of a hike up from the reception and restuarant, but well...

Nice hotel. No Air Conditioning but you did not need it at night. Had a TV. No WiFi except in the Lobby. Room was nice with a big bathroom and beautiful walk-in shower. Also had a soak tub right in the room. Room had an upstairs with two beds which we did not use. Had a front porch to sit...

We found the neighboring rain forest which is the principle attraction of this area rather a 'non event' and this undoubtedly influenced our view of this part of our Costa Rican experience. The hotel was however clean, quiet and offers a variety of rooms of differing sizes and with differing aspects, the upper of which offer wonderful views. Breakfast was...
