It was a clean bed (no mattress pad) and hot shower. No wifi in rooms or at reception when I tried. Their patio was quite pleasant with lots of plants and flowers around, but the rooms were small and stuffy, Some of the rooms in their annex down the road were said to be very hot and noisy with dogs...

Stayed with touring group for 2 nights. Put in annexe, it was shabby, no very clean, worn linen and a green sticker on the tap to indicate which was hot! The walls were so thin our friends next door could hear me asking my husband to bring me a towel. There were also 2 large parties of American teenagers staying...

We stayed here in Feb 2015 as part of our travels around Costa Rica. It was pleasant enough. We were there for 2 nights. Initially we were put in one of the annexes down the hill which had been a house at one time. The room we got was large and spacious. On returning from our night out, the hotel...

Find another hotel to stay at! It was very disgusting. The rooms were not clean, beds were horrible, and staff was not friendly at all. Breakfast was horrible, and we had to wait for our rooms, and we arrived at 4:00 pm.

Got there and they could not find our reservation . Put my three adult kids in cabin down the road and first night we got the smallest room I have ever...

Basic hotel with good location in Monteverde. I had a problem with my reservations because they wanted to lodge me in a different hotel! I had stress at the front desk until the manager came to take steps to accommodate me and my friends in the hotel which, it seems, does not have a good reservation system. However, the attendants...

Stayed 3 nights. They actually relocated us to the "annex", which was really a totally different hotel (Hotel Santa Fe). That hotel was actually decent, with WiFi in room (though spotty), parking, a location closer to the city center, etc. - too bad we weren't paying them! These guys at Hotel Los Jardines made us wait around to "find keys",...

Made reservations for 4 but the overbooked and put us in a room for 2 and brought in and assembled by hand a bunk bed. Toilet inoperative. Kids found an eyelash viper (highly venomous) in the garden near the breakfast area where trash and presumably small mice/prey for the snake hang out. Cracks in walls where wind and spiders leak...

The location is on a dirt road, it is a good distance from town, we paid about $3-4 each way by taxi to get to town. We had reserved two bedrooms, one downstairs and the other upstairs. The one downstairs looked very dingy and smelled musty with a queen size bed. The room upstairs had 2 queen beds and a...

It looks like someone's house converted to a hotel. We were made to stay in the outside room, with thin walls and a very small window. This was a far cry from "mountain views" and wooden floors promised in the confirmation email we had received. Staff did not offer any help with luggage. Honestly, we stayed here solely coz we...
