I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights during my trip around Jordan! The hotel itself is stunning, and has a great Arabian vibe around it! Our room was very clean and modern in the main building and has a stunning view of the dead...More

Yes, right on the Dead Sea. It can be a bit of a downhlll walk from the Village area, which means an uphill walk going back. Rocky shoreline but there is a ramp so you can get into the water without too much trouble.

I think they are two completely different experiences and not really comparable. If you are not interested in the water then I would go to the Dead Sea, where really it's not a sea resort at all (you got to the dead sea once, and experience it, and spend the rest of your stay making the most of the 5 star Movenpick experience). I would say the Red Sea is definitely more lively and a place where you can meet many diverse people, but the star of the show is the sea itself - snorkelling, scuba diving, swimming in general - so if that doesn't do it for you, I'd go to the Dead Sea instead.
